Best money saving tips?

Do you track your spending? I use mint.com and it's eye operating to see where it all goes, especially if you aren't really paying attention.

Also, do you have clearly defined goals? That helps me a lot too.

This is the only way we've been able to save. We (*I*) am such a spender. A few years ago we set it up so a couple hundred dollars come out of H's paycheck. We can't see the money online and we have to go to the bank to transfer the funds if we decide to do so. We do David's college account this way, too. We get monthly statements in the mail. We've saved a nice little chunk of change over the years.
