Yea, I'm on the title, too, I think we faxed something? Maybe I signed when we picked it up? I really don't remember. If we hadn't already decided on the vehicle and were trying out several, I'd definitely have to be there.
And our party was fun - bourbon punch, yum.
Yep,I faxed everything they needed and they finalized everything with my signature the day we picked the car up. Worked great for us
Now I am cursing the assholes who think fireworks are for amateurs. There are illegal fireworks going off all over my 'hood and not only are our dogs losing their shit, we have a neighbor who suffers from PTSD after a tour in Iraq a few years ago. Assholes.

Lucky us, everything is legal here. Some asshole behind us was setting off mortars and my poor dog was hiding half under my bed.
Fireworks are legal here, too. I curse them every year. They last all night for days. My kid is petrified of them so the 4th and NYE are never fun here.
We test drove cars months ago. The new car was for DH, not me. His was 8 years old and literally falling apart. Mine only has 30,000 miles. I really had no input or desire to be at the dealership. When it's my turn again I will be more Involved but will still let DH do the negotiating.
I've been trying not to throw up all day. I'm laying in my bed in the dark with the a/c blasting like a big ole beached whale. Fireworks going off, dog hiding in bathtub. DH is out with DS watching fireworks.

I'm laying in a hotel bed while DD sleeps instead of attending fireworks.
My H and I bought a car last week. Together. I hate it but I'm actually the better negotiator. But he has the penis and gets better service. So we both go and it's awful for three hours but we got a good price on everything and it's over.

Why do you go back? Both of the last 2 cars we have bought, we went and did test drives and left with the car the same day. Did you order a car with features they didn't have on hand or something?

For us, we weren't ready to pull the trigger until my car died and we didn't want to repair it. Also, we had a set amount of cash we wanted to spend so the dealer had to transfer our van from another location they own

We usually both test drives vehicles we are interested in. The winner is usually clear after test driving but then DH goes home to research and come up with a price that he is willing to pay. Then he researches how much our trade in value is worth. He never, ever buys on the day we test drive. He hates spending money and needs a lot of time to process the pros and cons of a new vehicle.
We've never left with a car that day. Twice we thought on it & then had to wait for the particular vehicle and this last time we were just waiting. We've never made the decision 100% at the dealership that day after a test drive.
I take that back; when we bought our 15 year old subaru for $2k we made the decision that day after driving it at the guy's house. But that's a little different than a $20k+ decision.
