Actually I have not yet pulled the trigger. I'm trying to decide with code to use with the purchase. Then I will be Rouge again.
Also, do we not get a Rouge free gift this year? Last year we got a mini Bite.
This in mini form according to the email I got. But I don't see how to add it to my cart. Pull the trigger! You will be sad if it sells out;)
Trigger pulled.
Also PSA: the Sephora board says that there is a Canadian promo for a choice of one of three Becca minis and people are speculating that it is coming to the U.S. Sadly, I already have all three of the choices (Opal perfector in liquid, poured, and pressed). Because I have a problem.
Ms. Hill has gone insane. I just watched her highlight her shoulder with her product.
I told you guys that I had to turn off the first video where I saw her using this highlighter and she just started shrieking FLEEK!!! It was ridiculous.
Also her concealer and foundation are ALWAYS crazycakes. I think because she tans/self-tans the rest of her body, so she adjusts the color of her face with her foundation, but then wants SUPER HIGHLIGHTED under eyes so uses the shade she'd use to match her actual skin. I think the lighting in her regular videos is just more flattering than here so it doesn't usually look quite so bad. But the moment in every single tutorial video where she's just got foundation and concealer on is always a little scary. She just packs on SO MUCH blush and bronzer and highlight that it kinda blends it all together by the end.
Iv'e always wondered what she looks like in person with all that smack on her face. Because she usually ages about 6 years from the beginning of a tutorial to the end....
I do feel like a lot of makeup youtubers look older than they are. Jaclyn is really young.
I haven't seen the Sephora video (won't show up on my computer) but overall I do love her. Even though it's sometimes annoying, I prefer over the top to dull and no personality. I want to like Tiffany D (and I used to!) but her videos are sooooo long and soooooo dry lately. Monotone. Rambling. And sometimes very sponsored.

yes! I stopped watching Tiffany D's videos. I can't stand half an hour of her just rambling and losing her train of thought and then showing me some random shit she got for free. SHUT UP and put on some makeup already. Jesus.

I have watched TiffanyD for a long time and agree that lately, her videos are too long and lack focus. When I see the 20th uploaded video in a row that is 29 minutes long, I kind of roll my eyes. I don't have time for that. I usually skip out at the 15 minute mark. And the content has been "showy" lately. I always liked her because she seemed relatable, but not with 3 LV unboxings, dropping $700 on Diptyque candles and buying a Hermes blanket for $1500 as an investment piece. I don't mind the baby stuff, but I wish she would do more tutorials and less "look at all this shit I bought".

I'm glad you guys see it, too. I used to like her, I want to like her, but even the videos I'm most interested in bore the hell out of me. I can't make it past 2 minutes. Edit more.
You guys are singing my song. Tiffany's videos are no fun anymore and JH smears on concealer and foundation like the rapture is coming and the chosen ones will have every inch of their faces hidden. The sad thing is that I am so accustomed to her look that I watched that Sephora video and had no idea what was so awful about her makeup. LOL
In the same vein, I think a lot of young YTers wear hellacious amounts of concealer. I marvel at how much they smear on in their tutorials and have no idea how they manage to blend it all out since the videos usually skip over what I can only assume is three hours of blending. I'm hopeful that the end of the Kim K contouring craze will cause folks to simmer down with the concealer as well.

this is also the one where she does her shoulders apparently. I didn't make it that far before.
eta: this is also the one where she talks about how layering a shitton of shades actually makes blending easier, which was a revelation to me and totally works. Which is why I put up with the ridiuclousness otherwise.

I agree that a lot of makeup you tubers look older than they are. I'm often surprised when they say there age because I usually think they're quite a bit older.
As someone else said, I also wonder what these you tubers look like in person because some of them wear pack on so much foundation and concealer. I don't think I wear that much concealer and sometimes I have trouble blending it out so that it doesn't look crazy.

Well that just made me nervous about the highlighter and its intensity... Though bronzer has never looked like that on me either...
I'm not sure I've ever sat through a full tutorial of hers. She's horrendously annoying and my god on the concealer. It looks like someone put light bulbs under her eye sockets.

I hope her highlighter is good.
Also, don't judge her solely on that video. I could barely stomach that one.
She is normally on 10, but she is also really great at makeup and calmer during tutorials. In the hauls and favorites, she's not normally a bouncy strobe light in a pool.
Yeah I think she is REALLY excited about the becca collaboration. For good reason.
I also don't judge her on her last video. She SHOULD be that excited, and to me it shows that she is genuine. If she was all "ho hum" i would think she didn't appreciate it.
I get that it is annoying to lots of people, but i can't fault her for it. I look at how excited i was about getting the highlight, and it wasn't even my product. Lol
apalettepassion.wordpress.com/ WHO IS BONQUIQUI!?!?!?!??!
"I was thinking about getting off on demand, but it sounds like I should be glad that I didn't"
This is exactly me. She's even more obnoxious on Snapchat. She was homeschooled.
She's talented, but man, she's a lot. It's a lot of foundation, lots of highlighting with concealer, lots of highlighting with highlighters, gobs of bronzer, blush, lip liner, lipstick, lip gloss, then another gloss. I feel like she's damn good at putting a lot of product on her face that makes her looked like a magazine airbrushed version of herself.
I skip most of her snaps. I don't need to see her lipsync in a car.
BUT, I do follow her on Snapchat. And watch her videos. Even with the obnoxiousness, I still love her. And the collab products of hers that I own are awesome.
Mine arrived today. It's seriously gorgeous. It swatches very similar to Opal, so I was not sure at first if I was going to keep it. But it looks amazing on my skin. It seems to flatter my skin tone more than Opal. It's definitely more intense but the gold undertones make it look more natural on me.
