LOL yes a lot of people thought it was that but it's really Fox in Fiji. I really wanted to switch back to my old knot name but they wouldn't let me us punctuation. I used to be Fox&theHound because that is DH & my nicknames for each other. We meet when we were young and DH for fun would refer to cute girls as foxes. When we started dating a few years later he called me his fox and my first response was, "Well does that make you my hound?" The names stuck and we still use them today 12 years later. We even had a few touches of them at our wedding:
Custom glass fox & hound cake topper I had made which now sits on our bookcase.
Fox cufflinks I gave DH.
When I moved over to the nest I had to create a different name because at the time bios were all the range and I wanted a separate wedding, HM, & home bio. So I signed up with Fox in Fiji to document our 2 week HM in Fiji. We stayed at 3 different resorts in all three groups of islands so I thought the info would be helpful to others on the HM and Travel board trying to plan a trip there. Then the plan was to make a different name for my everyday nesting and create a separate home bio. But I got stuck on trying to pick out a name....Robin's Nest or Fox's Den were the only thing I could think of. By the time I got around to creating that account though I already had a lot of posts under my HM account so I just stuck with it. Not too long after that my massive labor intensive HM bio got deleted and lost everything. : (
I guess I could change it to FoxAndTheHound but I thought that might look too long.

Aw that's really sweet! That is such a neat cake topper. I really like that you incorporated it into your wedding and I'm so envious you went to Fiji for two weeks! And that really stinks you lost the bio . I do kind of miss the days of the bios, even though I have a blog. It was so easy to see pictures and whatnot that way.
Yeah we totally splurged on our HM. We really tried to focus our budget around things that lasted for more than one day. So our three splurges were (1) photography, (2) the HM, and (3) DH's tungsten carbide ring which at the time was very uncommon to have:
The hall was only $300, the food was by a local mom & pop restaurant and was inexpensive but good, we brought our own alcohol, the flowers I did all myself (including the BM bouquets and the bouts/corsages) except for my bouquet, we didn't have a videographer, and after a HUGE mess I ended up getting my dress for free.
It was the perfect timing. I had just graduated college and was starting my job so I wrote into my contract that I got those two weeks plus a week of prep for the wedding off.. unpaid of course but that way I didn't have to waste the little vacation time I got as a new employee. DH had a lot of extra vacation time saved up and we were itching for an adventure. We both wanted a bigger HM than our parents who both road tripped to a cabin in nearby states. Both parents wish they had done more because they soon weighed down with kids.
The tickets over there were the biggest expense so staying more than a week ended up not costing much more. The first place we stayed at was only $70/night! That included all of our meals. Of course we had a shared bathroom, no hot water (it was cold rain water that was collected in a tank on the hill, and the thatched roof bure (their name for a hut) we stayed in was literally 2' wider than the bed and the ceilings were low. But it was a gorgeous location and we were right on the beach. We were right across from the Blue Lagoon where they filmed the movie and visited the underwater cave they filmed in too. The people there were the most authentic and real there than anywhere else we went. I woke up every morning and took sunrise pictures like this:
Sigh. It was an amazing place. It's fun to reminisce! We're coming up on our 5 year anniversary next month and we keep talking about going back some time but I don't think it will be anytime soon with all the house projects we have.

Not sure yet how to resize images . I think we're all so used to having to make them teeny tiny to fit in the tiny Nest window that they seem huge now, but really yours don't look that big
We went fairly budget with our wedding too...I really wanted to have just a small immediate family only thing, but our extended families weren't having that, so we did a lunch affair at a local restaurant. It was low key and very much us! In the end it was nice to have everyone there with us so I'm glad how it turned out. Sounds like you guys had a really nice wedding.
I can't believe you found lodging so inexpensive in Fiji! We went to HI for our honeymoon mostly on rewards points, so airfare was free and so were about half of our hotel stays and rental car days. It wasn't too expensive which made it seem even more fun!
