I vaguely remembered reading it in school for either freshman or sophomore English class. Beyond that, I don't even really remember most of the book and don't remember caring that much about it one way or the other.
But I also loathe The Handmaid's Tale which I think is pretty popular around here and would set that book on fire if I ever saw it again.
The book that sticks out the most for me (positively) from high school is Toni Morrison's Beloved. We read a ton of books but the two I remember most are that and Lord of the Flies.

There is room in my heart to love all of these books. Well, except maybe loving LOTF is a little creepy. Appreciate?
