wind chimes. My grandma had them when I was a kid and I used to sit on her back porch swing and read and end up falling asleep swaying in the breeze with the wind chimes in the background.
Croissants smothered in raspberry jam. I had one today after a hellish morning buying a new suitcase because I have too much crap to fly home this coming Saturday.
my mom used to sing my this little song she made up when I was sick or sad and it always put me to sleep. I started singing it to A when she was going through a rough period as a baby and it became part of our nightly routine.
she even "sings" along with me now.
Same here. All I remember from the song my mom sung to me is the first line, and I don't know the words. My mom doesn't remember it either! So I hum it. DS knows the hum now too. If he's tired or upset he says "say hmm mmm hmmm to me mommy" and I rock him in my lap and hum the little song.
Movies I can recite from memory. Being able to zone out, but still know what's going on in the movie, is very relaxing. So all the Star Trek movies, Serenity, all the Aliens movie. I like Sci Fi
Vacuuming, cleaning the kitchen and gardening. All things that put my hands to work while I can zone out. And, I get a pretty/ clean result, which makes my life feel more ordered.
