For once it's actually a place I know and love. Ice cream from woodside creamery in delaware makes most of the speciality ice cream for the local restaurants and even the ice cream stores all over the state (even at the beach). Most places tout as their ice cream specially made for them by the creamery. Fun fact, I only live 10 minutes away from the farm
I've never been to the CA, NC, or SC places listed. I'm not sure there is anything local that would make the list? But I'm surprised Leatherby's didn't win for CA, but then again, it's a huge state.
I totally forgot about Leatherbys... Are they even around anymore?
I think so. Their website is still up and says all 3 locations are still open. I haven't been there since 2009!!
I disagree with MA. Toscaninis is good (and I used to live by one and ate there aaaallllll the time ), but I've had better ice cream at Emack and Bolios and Four Seas.

I was ordering ice cream from the tiny shop on my block last week and noticed that several of the flavors had Wicked in the name. They serve Gifford's! So random.

Yes! I love Emack.Â
We have one right down the street - I know where I'm going after camp pick up today! Lol
My husband disagrees with Illinois. And apparently everyone refers to it as "Custard Cup" so "obviously these list makers don't even know what they are talking about" lololol
Yes! Franklin Fountain is the bomb.com. But so is the Creamery up at Penn State. They say their ice cream is so fresh, just yesterday it was grass.
Now I want ice cream.
Oh how I miss the Creamery. I was on route 80 for just 5 miles last week and was wishing I was going to be on it long enough to justify going to State College just for the ice cream

Izzy's in MN is really great. Sebastian Joe's is also really good. Izzy's just built a really cool new building downtown.
And sadly, I can confirm that the North Dakota cities I've been to have nothing for ice cream other than chains. In college I lived across from a DQ and then later, at TCBY. I was not upset.
I never agree with these lists because it's always someplace in NYC and while I'm sure it's really good the whole rest of NYS is ignored. Purity ice cream in Ithaca NY is delicious!
I'm going to Ithaca soon and I am soooo tempted to break my dairy ban for purity ice cream. I'm so conflicted! It's just so good.
I do love salt and straw and havent usually had to wait in the lines but I know they do exist (usually I wait less than 10 min). I also get their most basic flavor- salted caramel. I also love ruby jewel's ice cream sandwiches here and tillamook for more original flavors.
We are going to state college in a few weeks! Hopefully we can get some ice cream (Off to research ingredient lists for luke) ETA: great news the creamery has nutrition info online YUMMMM
Never been to MI one although I used to live right there. Salt and straw is like the best ice cream ice ever had personally. We went while visiting my sister and there were only like 5 people in line.
