Yes. I have a typewriter in my sewing room. Hunter keeps asking me all sorts of questions about it. "What sort of games are on there?" "Are there apps?" Nope, just typing, to which he responds, "What's the point of that?!"

So true - 1977 born and like 19 of those 22 fit me. Zima - Ew, why did I drink that? I remember hearing some radio promotion about Zima and you could call an 1-800-number to get it free. I ended up borrowing my mom's driver's license to call and be put into a sweepstake to win free Zima. I thought it was a brilliant plan to get free alcohol without having to pay for it or buy it in at the store. Then these coupons came for a free 6-pack of Zima... to my mom's name and she was all, "Ew, why did I get these and tore them up and chucked them in the garbage." I was super sad.
Last time we did this in-betweener thing a bunch of millenials tried to claim it too. No, stop that!
By birth year I sometimes qualify as a millenial and sometimes don't. I've seen people who say millenials start in 1980, 81 or 82 and I was 81. But a lot about the millenial generation really doesn't fit me, especially stuff revolving around technology. But I also don't fit as gen x for other reasons!

BTW, I think the sticking point for so many in accepting they are millennials is the digital native piece. To me, many millennials are digital natives, but it is not a defining characteristic. I am a millennial although not a digital native.
'83 checking in. I fit most of those except for the typewriter and email address. My dad was a huge computer nerd so I can't remember a time without having a computer in the house. We had an ATARI computer, and it was the shit.

Those are pretty much all spot on for me!! Born in 1978.
Except I have no idea what that turtle thing is.
I was even 22 when I got my first cell phone!! I'd occasionally used one before then, but it was the family cell phone that I had to carry with me in the car if I were going to be driving anywhere outside of our little suburb.
I'm not sure I can name any Nikelodeon shows from the 90's. I'm pretty sure by the 90's I was watching 90210 and MTV.

I agree with you on this, which is one of the things I brought up in the millenial thread.
Although I DID have a beeper in high school in the 1990s. I also had an email address way before college but I admit that is because of my privilege of having a computer at home running windows 3.1 in the mid 90s.
Ok, so I'm firmly in the middle (1978) and the one thing I never get is reality bites. I never identified with it AT ALL. Maybe I was just a hair too young for it?
You can’t name more than three ’90s Nickeleodeon shows. You have no idea who Lizzie McGuire is. You got your first email address in college But filled out your college applications on a typewriter.
Born in 76 and damn if these all aren't true, but I'm going to stick with Gen X. Probably for the best, I did have Electric Company and a beeper.
Well, I did get my first email address in college and borrowed a typewriter to fill out college applications. I also think my 8-years-younger sister had a cell phone before I did. But, I didn't experience a lot of those same pop culture items.
I was born in 1982 and relate to almost all of that. My husband (1975) and sister (1985) have had such different experiences with careers and technology than I never felt like I belonged in either group.
1977 here and I can sort of relate to some of it. Did they change the dates or something because I thought 1977 was solidly Gen X. I had a beeper but then I was totally on AOL ALL THE TIME at around 15, so definitely had my first email address before college.
