As usual, not much new with me. 36 weeks and ready for the end to get here. I am starting to get over being pregnant as I have less energy and more difficulty moving. I feel lucky to have had such a great pregnancy and feel bad even complaining, but it just seems to take forever for 40 weeks to get here.
Today my mom and I went out to return some stuff that I received at the shower. Now I have store credit to use as Target and Walmart. Right now I don't really have anything that we need, so I will hang onto it for after baby comes and we see what we need. I do plan to buy a baby carrier so when we travel at Christmas baby can be in a carrier, so I might go ahead and order that through Target online.
Although I am ready for baby, it is still scary to think that H and I will be PARENTS in a few weeks. Holy crap!!! I never thought this day would come and in some respects it scares me. I am completely responsible for someone else's life......how am I going to handle this? And how is our dog could to react to the change? She has been our only "child" for 7 years now....should be interesting to see what she thinks of the little one!

Kennedy and Caleb are doing great. She's an awesome big sister and is gentle with him about 95% of the time. It melts my heart every time she gives him kisses, especially when we don't prompt her to. Seriously. Brings tears to my eyes. He's doing really well with breastfeeding and is just about back to his birth weight. I'm getting about 6-7 hours of combined sleep a night. We had a few rough days/nights in the first week, but I totally feel like I've got this down. Today was my first full day alone and we even made it to mom's group at 10am. I was 10 minutes early and had even stopped at Starbucks. I was a little nervous how I would handle two kids so close in age and dependent, since Kennedy isn't walking yet, not its been a really easy adjustment.
We have been dealing with a Colicky baby for the past week, so I took her to the doctors and sure enough, she has acid reflux just like MacKenzie did. She is now on Ranitidine and is eating, sleeping, and acting much better. Evenings have been very long, but I am glad she (and H and I) finally have some relief. We also had her newborn pics taken yesterday. I can't wait to see them!!
MacKenzie starts pre-school three mornings a week next week! I can't believe how big she is getting! We are officially starting intensive potty training tomorrow and I am pretty anxious about it. Gonna try a sticker chart and hoping for some success!

Congrats on making it to mom group! It really isn't that hard having 2u2; once you find a rhythm and get a groove going, it's doable. In our case, it helped a LOT that DD2 was a laid back baby as DD1 was high needs lol! It does get tricky once the younger one becomes more mobile, but it's a lot more fun, too! I had the same feeling as you as I watched them interact and see DD1 fawn over her sister.
Both girls are doing great. DD1 starts preschool next week. Dd2 had her 15 month well visit, and she's up to 24 lbs. She's becoming more verbal everyday, I think she has 30-40 words now. She's also recognizing objects and pictures. She really likes to imitate her big sister, esp when going potty. So we might start introducing her to the potty earlier.
Oh, forgot to mention that this week I am supposed to start non-stress tests. Any of you had those done? How exactly is it done? Not sure what to expect. Thanks in advance!
I only had one NST, and it involved sitting in a chair with monitors over the babies' heartbeats. It recorded heart beats and BHs (which I never even felt. I didn't know I was having BHs until the nurse came in and said, "Oh! You're having Braxton Hicks! I bet you're dilated, too!"
Um. Thanks? My cervix does all the work, really...

I had them from week 30 on. You just sit in a chair, strapped to two monitors. It just monitors baby's movement. Every time you can feel the baby move, you click a little button. Make sure you drink some juice or something right before because if baby is sleeping, you could sit there for 45 to an hour. Trust me, I have been there many times. Should take around 20 minutes if baby cooperates. No big deal!
