Ugh. I just realized the OP is the troll. I seriously thought someone had taken the stupid article and used it as a "ha ha, look how dumb Republicans are! Let's all talk about how great Hillary is!" I didn't realize OP actually thought that was a real thing. My apologies to everyone in this thread for contributing to her foolishness.

If I had to pick just one accomplishment, I would say that she created a revolutionary shift in politics as a result of her 1994 health care reform plan with Ira Magaziner. Of course, the revolutionary shift in politics was helping to elect a slew of Republicans.
To be fair, I don't even know what Bernie Sanders' "accomplishments" are. I know he has them. He's a senator. Somehow I don't think this will matter. I guess men in power are assumed to be accomplished beings but women in power have to constantly prove theirs?

It should matter, and that's a shitty assumption made by shitty people.

It doesn't matter though. His accomplishment is his title and he won't be questioned further.

Honestly I don't care about accomplishments and think most voters feel the same way. I care about policy positions. I care about stances. The Rs are just moving the goal posts because their policy postions are henious and they can't really run on "let them women die!" in a general.
Oh. Yes, sorry. Phone ran out of juice and I'm at the beach. Had to wait until I came back to the house to charge... And I'm explaining myself... Why?
Was actually discussing with fairly liberal husband and best friend and they couldn't come up with anything - which is why I brought it here. Not going to waste more time explaining myself, but in short couldn't get into my normal account while in vaca, so created a new name.
Was a tad bit disappointed to see no one had linked to the article, but then it made sense that no one in these parts would link to anything questioning the credibility of HRC.
The only thing the three of us could come up with was that she tried to get universal healthcare off the ground and failed.
But running for senate and winning in name recognition isn't exactly an accomplishment and neither is being appointed secretary of state. An accomplishment would be akin to actually having been successful with universal healthcare.

Weird that a brand new poster knows that....
......lys
ETA: Oh, I just saw that you were on vaca, lys, and couldn't find your regular login so you created a new one, which lets you in here, natch.

Because they can't really trot out "experience" with HRC like they did with Obama. So the new GOP buzz word will be "accomplishments." Got it.
Exactly.
Honestly if they want to make this about accomplishments, bring it on.
HRC is easily the one of the most accomplished presidential candidates in history, if not the most.
While the rest of these losers were busy gutting women's health, passing stand your ground laws, destroying public education, and running up deficits, she was one of the architects of the law that gave us the lowest rate of uninsured people ever, then went on to build diplomatic relations around the world.
They can fuck right off with this accomplishment nonsense.
I wonder if it rankles Clinton that the ACA will forever be known as Obamacare?

Definitely not lys. First of all, she came back. Second of all, she doesn't write the same way at all. Besides, she hasn't made a single racist or homophobic remark in this entire thread.
My take on the first one, an accomplishment is the SCHIP program, or health insurance for kids.
She didn't create the program, so it's not exactly an accomplishment. However, I'll give her that as First Lady she brought Bill around to signing it and promoted it.
The only thing the three of us could come up with was that she tried to get universal healthcare off the ground and failed.

So now that you've read the thread, you can admit she has accomplishments, right? They've been linked by several posters throughout so this argument that she's done nothing doesn't hold water at all.
Now, if you want to discuss whether what she has accomplished has been beneficial or not, that would be something we could do, but this b.s. Fiorinia talking point makes you look like you lack basic knowledge of what's been happening in government in the last decade.
I was immediately put off by Fiorina for this. Idk. I get it, she's an opponent. But Fiorina has a long way to go before she's a blip on HRC's radar in this election and I think Fiorina knows that. Yet she still calls out the only other female in the race, asking for a list of her accomplishments. Maybe ask that of the men you have to beat to even go up against HRC before you do that.
AND I AM NOT EVEN A DEMOCRAT AND I AM LUKEWARM AT BEST ON HRC.
Ah so we enter the "these accomplishments aren't really accomplishments" phase of the discussion.
Lobbying your own husband to get him to sign a bill is not an accomplishment, no. Who knows what she has on him. That was probably straight up blackmail.

This is what I was looking for! Thanks again for the link, heyjude. Back to vaca.
These include opening up Myanmar as the first secretary of state to make an official visit there since 1955, negotiating a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas with the help of Egypt in 2012, and tightening international sanctions on Iran to their highest level ever with nearly a dozen countries significantly reducing their purchases of Iranian oil in 2012.
