No issues at all. They are re-doing the one near our house and I can not wait! We have been talking about putting in a pool but are undecided.
Have you gotten any estimates yet? I know you live in a higher COL area than me but I'm kind of curious. We haven't yet because we're probably a few years off from being able to do it.
Srsly, renting a house with a private pool is one of THE best decisions we've ever made. It's absolutely amazing. The added utility cost is well worth it.
Okay, that didn't come out right..haha. Maybe I was thinking that parents that know their babies are for sure peeing in the water don't have a swim diaper on them and those babies are the ones that may poop in the pool, which is what I find gross.

My thought is pool specific - like how it is still SUMMER, 85, and SUNNY and I went by the public pool today and it is drained already. Rec swim lessons ended Fri. and today the pool is drained. Way to cater to the whole town guys.
We use a pool at a resort all summer. The resort is out of season so it sells passes to the public from April through October (I think) and it often ends up over crowded with families.
I have never thought twice about going there. I know they check their levels all of the time and have never had an issue. I do get annoyed with all of the kids but it just comes with using a community pool.
I was a manager at a public pool in college. We had to test the water ever 2 hours and shock it if a kid had diarrhea. I would trust the pool water to have correct chemical levels more at a public pool than a private pool. That said, everyone pees in pools. Gross but true.
That is pretty cool but I don't like the idea of swimming in a pond even if it really is a swimming pool. I guess because there are alligators present in like every body of water around here it kind of deters me. It is beautiful though!
wow that is really neat! I didn't know they did stuff like this. So they kind of just build a swim hole in your backyard? How awesome! It needs a tire swing.
My grandparents had a pool at their house we basically lived in from June-August every summer growing up. It was awesome. I think I went to the public pool twice, maybe. They're too loud/crowded and splashy/crazy with all the kids. No my favorite.
Depends on what it looks like. If it looks somewhat nasty then I won't get in...for the most part, I dont' get in public pools. I like having my own private pool.

Not yet. As with everything, we know the pool will lead to re-doing the landscaping, possibly the deck, the garage.....$$$$$$$

Ha, yes. We're assessing what needs to be done on our current house before we can sell it and it keeps snowballing.
