So I meet a guy Saturday evening and I thought we really hit it off. He said that I did not scare him off when we talked about our past relationships. He seemed disappointed that I had to go home around 9PM. He had even asked that we see each other again and gave me a hug when I left. He is a Detective and Realtor in another town so I know he is super busy..... I was so hoping to have a e-mail from him the morning since I gave him my work e-mail. Nothing..... We texted a little to work out the time and place Saturday so he has that also. I e-mailed him before 8AM this morning. I really would like to explore this new thing with him. What should I do?? I am so new to this and was never very good about it before. 10 years since I meet someone I liked.

I think that level of contact is totally normal. I would step back now and let him initiate any further communication and take it from there.

While it is certainly nice when they reach out again right away it's also not uncommon for it to take a couple of days too. Just try to relax and not stress about it.
