With our new office setup, Jerry can vaguely hear me talk on the phone, which sometimes results in him yelling things to me from his office. He can't actually make out the conversation I am having, so it really f#cks up my day. It is also a form of micromanaging and we are having a "meeting" about it today.
Example: Me - Hi client, yes, he can see you at 11 on Friday. Jerry yelling - I HAVE A TRIAL ALL DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Me - sorry client, how about next Friday? Jerry - I AM WITH MY PERSONAL TRAINER AT THAT TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Me - Thanks client, see you then. Me - Jerry, you cannot even hear what day I am booking, you have no other appointments at that time.

Oh that's extremely frustrating! It's a double edge sword since you work with him and sleep with him.
I'm really getting fed up with my student worker missing work and rescheduling all the time. She's got so damn much going on in her life, family, etc that there's always something or some reason she can't come in. I don't want to fire her because then I have to retrain someone else and I'll be hiring a full time person in just over a month and they will be taking the task that I need her for every day. UGH! Why can't she just stick to the schedule that SHE makes?!

That sounds so irritating!
Yeah, we get along 98% of the time, except when I am micromanaged, then I lose my sh!t.
Mine is that people keep passing their work on me because I'm the "problem solver" - dude, I only got that way because there was no one for me to use as a reference. Fix your own damn problems!
You and my husband would have a lot to talk about. He loves fixing everybody's problems because he likes to look like a badass, but it'll catch up to him eventually.
sitnspin, you have the right to lose your shit because you (of all people) most definitely know how to get shit done!
You should install a shock thing under his seat and every time he yells while you're on the phone - you can shock him. Call it shock training for the workplace. LOL
Sorry you have to deal with that.
Sapphire - at least you have a light at the end of the tunnel - still super frustrating though!

Ha, ha! I gave him a serious stare down. He is now sitting quietly like a good boy, lol.
I took Friday off because it's my birthday, and I can't figure out what to do with myself. I have a lot of time alone during a typical week so what I really want is people to hang out with me, but they can't because they have work-- duh. I fail at days off, lol.
BFF can't go to the wedding in Brazil with me, and I'm debating whether I should go by myself for a long weekend. To Brazil. With a combined flight time of 20 hrs round trip. LOL But I have a credit from last year's Aruba trip that will basically pay for the whole ticket, and I have to use it before 8/23. I might just buy the ticket and cancel the trip after and then have another year to use the credit (minus any fees) if that's possible. I'm seeing the guy who's getting married tomorrow, so I'm sure he'll help me decide.

Do you know other folks attending the wedding? I would go because, Brazil!

That's what I'm going to find out tomorrow. I know my rich boss is going, so there's that. I don't even care if there are people I actually know, just people around my age who wouldn't mind if I joined them for dinner/the beach. lol

I have been so addicted to reading lately that I have been neglecting things, including MH. I read from the time I get home until the time I go to bed and then read in bed too. I only stop to cook dinner or clean up dinner if he cooks.
MH is out of town tonight and I know the only thing I will do is read. i could invite my sister over or a couple of friends, but I'll just read. I even started reading at work. I started out on my lunch break, but I'd get to a good part and not be able to stop, or pick it back up at 3 and say "I've worked and accomplished enough for the day."

Now I need to know what you are reading!! I haven't picked up a book since finishing GOT.

My temp coirker, who has been here one month, finally discovered we have instant messaging (Microsoft lync/Skype for business) and she is fascinated with it. She sits < 15ft from me.
Ha, ha! We use it in our office and I think Jerry's office is maybe 10 feet away.

My work BFF and I use an IM to gossip, talk shit, and we do a little work through it. We work in different buildings, but would probably still use it if we worked side by side.
@ello, finding doctors/dentists/vets is such an annoying process, imo. Hopefully you find one relatively soon. Where'd you buy the mattress from?
We bought it from Costco. It's a Novaform gel memory foam mattress. I'm really hoping that it works out but I know Costco has an amazing return policy in case we don't like it.
We have this and we LOVE it. Though just as a warning, it comes in a fairly small box, and needs time to "poof" up. (At least ours did.)
