I'm so searching that database when it isn't overloaded. There are a few coworkers whom I could totally see checking out the site (although likely not following through).
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."
Aside from a list of email addresses, was any other date released?
All the information - so credit card information, etc.
Ah thanks! I didn't know if this was a list of thousands of like burner emails (and the people who were dumb enough to give legit addresses) or the full release of names and credit card info and everything.

Well, I'm not sure about the other states but there is now a Twitter account for my state releasing names and the amount of money they paid to the site.

Wow. Someone in your state is not messing around.
Or, I guess I should say many in your state are messing around and at least one person isn't going to take it anymore.

That is hardcore. Wow.
Welcome to the Bible Belt. Don't fuck up. God is watching and so is everyone else.

kevin arnold, I agree with you, actually - I was honestly just surprised that someone was literally that spiteful that they would take the time to set up this account, and apparently that bored as well. Dammit, don't people have jobs?

Back when I worked in an adult video store, I routinely scrolled through the customer database to see if I could find people I knew and what titles they had rented.
That 15k are .mil or .gov email addresses. Who uses their work email for something like this?
I wonder if the military will do anything with it since adultery is illegal under the UCMJ.
They won't prosecute for adultery since they couldn't prove sex happened and also a military nexus (ie prejudicial to good order and discipline). Maybe a reprimand for using government email for unofficial purposes but I would be surprised to even see that.

I found the twitter feed - man this person is intense. They are listing where people work (if they found their info online) and calling people out (@their user name) OR linking to where they work (@their employer). They couldn't find info on one guy so instead they just listed the name and e-mail address and encouraged people to e-mail him. Ick.
So, let this be a lesson in Ashley Madison for everyone: the $$ charge to "wipe" your account from their records and delete everything DOES NOT WORK. I already knew my ex-husband was on Ashley Madison - I found out when the marriage fell apart - but that was back in 2011/2012, and he paid some fee and the site was supposed to get rid of everything.
Not so much.
His email address comes up in that searchable database. And if you google said email address, his real name pops right up, first hit. Someone please tell me the hackers have nude pics people shared via the site. Pleeeease.
I found the list. Should I post here? -- Well just a long list of email addresses. I'm surprised at home many display full names and what appear to be work emails.
Do it.
ditto or at least the how tos on how to access it !

I didn't look, but I didn't realize they had also listed places of employment. I am really disturbed by that. Now look, you sign up using your work e-mail address? Sure, you have no reasonable expectation of privacy and you done fucked up and whatever. But if some guy has a random yahoo account and now is gonna lose his job over this? I'm not okay with that.
Whoever created that twitter account is a sick person.

I *think* they do. The problem is just that - as I understand it - everything is in a kind of raw data form. It's very hard for a lay person to understand. I bet by next week at this time, there's a website that works like the fucking BabiesRUs registries. Last name and a couple letters of the first name and ta-da here is all data connected to that...
