im on a slew of fertility drugs including nuepogen and lovenex. I have been getting the worst bruises, and not just at the injection site, but a couple inches away. They are every color from blue to dark red and some are almost the size of a baseball. I'm running out of places on my stomach that aren't bruised to put them!
I have taken lovenex. Well, to be precise, my H gave me lovenox. I was on 2/day for two weeks, and I think I bruised once. I can ask him what is secret is? It also very rarely burned when he did it.

Yeah my husband usually does it too, rarely it won't burn much but usually it burns for a couple minutes. Some bruises are only quarter sized and pale but some are big and really dark.
I'm happy to pass on any tips. H is at work but will be home within the hour. He was really good at it. He's T1, though, so he's been giving himself shots for years.

Pinch as much of your side as you can and don't rub the site afterwards. I bruised occasionally and it had more to do with jabbing near a vein or too close to my middle.
So, I just texted with him a little bit. He would sort of pinch the area of skin he was targeting, and go slow with the needle and the injecting. After he had removed the needle, he'd put pressure on where it was and rub it a little.
Does that make sense? He said he's been injecting himself a long time so it's hard to explain. I really only bruised 1 time, though. You could sometimes see where he had done the last injection, but nothing like a full blown bruise.
Also, I'm sorry you have to take that stuff. I know how much it sucks.

I was on Lovenox twice a day for over a year after my PE. My doctor told me I could also use the fatty part of my upper inner thighs, and the backs of my arms (though my FI had to inject me there).
Take your time injecting. Pinch the skin so that it makes the area you're injecting into more firm. Also, if it burns a lot, you can ice the area before injecting, but that can affect the absorption of the lovenox.
I have no useful advice, but wanted to express surprise/curiosity that Lovenox is taken as part of a fertility regimine. Is there this to mitigate the increased risk of a blood clot from the estrogen?
ETA I was definitely told I'd have increased bruising while on blood thinners.

I have had 2 second trimester losses this year along with low amh and high fsh. I started lovenex, progesterone, BA, prednisone and nuepogine with my trigger shot. My losses are unexplained and this is my doctors "blanket treatment"
Pinch an inch, and consider alternate sites for injecting when alternating and moving down isn't working out. The back of the arms, back of the love handles, fatty areas of thighs. Also, don't rub the site after injecting.
Have they tested for Factor V leiden? Or things in that family? I have that and used lovenox as a blood thinner after PEs in my lungs (good times). A friend had losses and ended up having the same thing.
I've been on Lovenox twice. Both times to bridge to Coumadin. I was on it about 7 weeks the first time and 8 weeks the 2nd. Due to recurring DVTs, if I try to get pregnant, I have to be on Lovenox the entire time I'm trying, through my pregnancy and at least 6 weeks pp. My bruises were as small as dimes and as large as the palms of my hand and the color of eggplant.
The bruises will go down as your aim gets better, at least they did for me.
Go in at a straight angle, inject slow, and pull the needle out at the same angle. Stay away from the area around your belly button (it hurts like a mofo). I was told not to rub it and a little ice is okay.

Have you tried your love handles? I haven't taken those particular drugs, but I always inject my IVF meds into my stomach AND side fat. My nurse said, "Use the WHOLE spare tire."
