I'm so glad it's Friday. I've been exhausted every single night this week. I know it's being back to school with the kids but wow! It's been rough. However, yesterday was better then Wednesday and hopefully today will be even better.
Not much planned for the weekend except goign to the antiques show on Sunday to sell everthign in our basement (ok that's a lie. We'd need a moving van to sell all of DH's inventory)
TGIF. I have been pooped the last few days and woke up with a sore throat today. I think it's our wacky weather- it feels like fall but the temp is supposed to jump back up this weekend. My IUI meds are getting delivered today. AF is due Tuesday. H and I are doing yard work tomorrow and then a fair on Sunday I think.

Morning! As usual, not much going on here. I'm still pretty angry about what went down with my former boss. I'm not quite sure how to get over it and move on. The more I think about it, the more lies and inconsistencies I see in what she said. Part of it is that I'm pissed she got away with it - if there was an HR department, she would have been fired.
In other news, I'm trying very hard not to look at spoilers for Big Brother. But I really want to know who won HOH! Must be strong...

Oh blessed Friday. This week has been a hot mess, but thankfully today is a relaxing day of 1 meeting and just getting work done. After work is a happy hour I'm going to with friends, so that should help!
Tomorrow is suit shopping...God help me. I have realized that I am really unprepared for this business trip. I don't have a suit, nothing to put my business cards in, and I'm pretty sure none of my heels fit. WHOOPS! Looks like a shopping weekend for me!

Morning guys!
So glad it's Friday, I feel like I've just playing catch-up all week since I was out Tuesday. I'm feeling better (at least less panicked) about H's job thing. We will figure something out. And there is another position at his current job (that would be awful hours and he would hate) but it might work for a short time if the lay-off is sooner than we would like. And I talked to my mom about it last night and talked about it meaning we might push back any embryo transfer and she was just like, "why, you've already done all of this already, don't wait longer." and I thinking Wow, that seems really irresponsible, but kind of makes me feel a lot better!
We don't really have any weekend plans, we need to clean our house and I think I might go for a pedicure tomorrow.
Happy Friday y'all! I am counting the minutes until 5:30. Unfortunately, I have a LOT of minutes left.
H and I walked to the farmers' market and picked up a bunch of fresh produce last night. Buuuut that stuff is gonna have to sit in the fridge for tonight, 'cause we're going out for sushi. Tomorrow we might go hiking at a nearby brewery (when I say hiking, it's really more like a leisurely stroll through the woods).
I'll probably be testing at some point this weekend. Eek. I have my first RE appointment scheduled for next week (my regular OB was the one who prescribed the Clomid, right before she quit without notifying me, but that's another story for another time). I guess if I get a positive I'll just cancel it? But the chances of that happening are pretty slim. I'm not holding my breath for two pink lines.
King26, I'm glad each day has been better, and good luck with selling off some of the antiques! Does your husband restore them or something?
So jealous, scm1011! Have a great weekend. And good luck on getting the long run in this weekend. That's dedication! This is also why I'm wavering on my December marathon; I've got a ton of travel upcoming for work, and I'm not sure how all the long runs would get done.
I'm so sorry, thoseareradishes. I went through something similar with a boss in a tiny workplace, and it totally sucks.
I'm glad you're feeling better, EllenGriswold. I get what your mom is saying. 9 months is a long time for H to find a job, but I'd probably hold off too.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
Heyo, happy Friday! This has been a really long week. I went to Costco at lunch yesterday (love having one within a mile!) and Target right after work, and then made 10,000 of my breakfast pancakes (cottage cheese, banana, egg, oats), and then went for a run. After I'd already done everything for several days in a row, H was like, oh man, I feel like garbage. Okay, sorry! Have fun reading books, because it's Mush time, and then I went for a run. I need to get more used to that, because then I slept like garbage. Whoops. Up early for a really fun speed workout that brought a new mile PR, woot. Busy busy weekend with a virtual run for my running group, birthday party, then a night away at our wedding hotel for our 5th anniversary. Hopefully Sunday is easy!

My husband is a picker ( like american pickets but he's been doing it for 25 years). He buys antiques and mod furniture, lamps, clocks, quilts, and a few other things, refinishes and restores if needed, and sells to antiques dealers and sells retail too. He has some connections in large cities he picks for specifically but then picks and restores too

TGIF! I can't wait for this week to be over. I took a promotion in my current department a little while back, and the additional group I now manage is a MESS. I vacillate between wanting to dig in and work evenings and weekends to get them on the right track, and wanting to throw up my hands, let their first-line supervisor handle it, and just enjoy my evenings and weekends. Sigh.
At yesterday's check I had 2 maturing follicles-- a 19 mm and a 16.5 mm-- and my E2 was 113, so they didn't have me trigger and I go back tomorrow for another check. Today DW is supposed to be picking up our sperm at the cryobank and driving it to the RE's office. I haven't heard from her, though, so I'm starting to get a little nervous about the timing of everything...

I'm not sure I know where in the US you are King26, but have you or your husband ever heard of Round Top, Texas? It's this absolutely HUGE antique show (about fifteen miles and 60+ show sites over three weeks, twice a year) in a tiny town in Texas (www.antiqueweekend.com/C-00.html). I grew up about 10 minutes away and we still go back every year, it's one of my very favorite things! (and the reason I have my own growing collection of antiques still stored at my parent's house!) If you ever want to pack up the basement and come sell all your stuff, GTG!
callmehales my friend works at vega and she gave us a bunch of products to try. That gif pretty much sums up my reaction to all them.
I got the go ahead to start stims tomorrow! Had my baseline u/s this morning and I have 18 follies on one side, 14 on the other. Makes me nervous for OHSS but we knew the number would be up there and that's why I'm only going to be starting at 125 Puregon.
Of course if it was lower I'd just be worried about something else. No shortage of things to worry about in TTCland.
I'm intrigued! Can you share (or point me to) the recipe?
I love these so much! I use heaping teaspoons of cinnamon, and flash freeze on parchment. They reheat like a dream in the toaster oven as long as I undertook them a little before freezing.

Scm1011, have fun in NYC! I love it and can't wait to do another weekend trip there. Hopefully soon!
Thoseareradishes, I'm sorry.
Callmehales, that shake sounds nasty but you always have the best gifs.
Good luck, dellabear.
Happy Friday, all. I'm working all day today but I'm hoping to leave a little before 5 pm. Nothing really on tap for the weekend. Cleaning the house of course and grocery shopping but that's no fun. I think we might go out for dinner tonight.
Happy Friday! Have the day off, so went to acupuncture, getting my car washed right now, then heading to Target and Trader Joe's. I have to clean the house when I get home (I only got as far as the bathroom last night), and DH is going out with his brother and some people tonight. I'm staying home since I have to be up early tomorrow for a certification prep course for work. And it's Saturday AND Sunday. Yay. Tomorrow evening were having an engagement party for BIL and his fiancee. It's going to be a busy weekend.

My beta this week is 25 so it's dropping, but still very slowly (34 the week before, 50 and 55 the week before that). I'm being referred to the specialist. I'm so over this, it's been 9 weeks since the m/c, I want to move on.

Did you have a D&C? I ask because a friend of mine had a m/c and had a d&c but 6 months later she was still not back to normal and they found remaining tissue, so she had to have another D&C.
ETA im sorry for your loss. I hope you can figure things out with a specialist and move forward.

Yes, I did. My doctor suspects I may have had a partial molar pregnancy (baby had XXY triploidy) and that's the reason behind this. We'll see.

Hi everyone! Another great day at school for me. I am just SO happy we're having such a smooth start, it's not always like this. Not much new in TTC for me, will start using OPKs this weekend so I can time my luteal phase estrogen patches correctly, but that's it. Heading to a patio happy hour now! My fave!
callmehales I also sorta tried to add protein shakes to my diet lately and haven't had much luck. I tried a Garden of Life Raw Meal one that was TERRIBLE. Then I tried Trader Joe's and it was good, but required two scoops for a 1/2 cup of milk and had a little more sugar than I wanted. I want to try a couple other brands, but can't stomach spending $20 to TRY something I'll probably hate!
