Hi, guys. I really hope I get to stay here. I had some spotting yesterday afternoon. I had a backache all day too and those were the worst when I miscarried the other times. I tried to tell myself the back thing was normal but as soon as I saw a little blood I freaked out. Cue tear-filled call to H (while I was still on the toilet), then a message to my nurse, and then encouraging (more like begging) the baby to stay put.
Nurse said it could be totally fine but I did ask for my repeat beta to be moved up to this morning. It was originally scheduled for tomorrow. Waiting for the call now. It is going to be a long day and a loooonnnngg ass 9 months (hopefully).
Anyone have spotting that turned out to be ok? It seems to have stopped. I'm 18dp3dt or 4w6d according to my doctor.
I had a bleed that required a pad and then a bit of spitting and thought for sure that it was over. Turns out I had a subchorionic hematoma and it's resolved with no issues since. Spotting is very common with IVF cycles. GL!
Trace, I'm so sorry to hear about the spotting. It's incredibly common, and there are lots of spotting success stories on the boards. Fingers crossed this is nothing, and I hope you get encouraging news soon.
I'm sorry your having spotting. I've known several people that have had it and everything was ok. I hope that's the case for you and that your beta is good. ((Hugs))
Yep, I had spotting around 4w, and terrible cramping around 5w. I also had spotting at 13w. It's very scary, but pretty normal (though that didn't stop me freaking out about it). I have a friend who did IVF and she told me she's been spotting on and off the whole time. She's almost 11 weeks.
I had spotting/light bleed around 4.5 weeks. I also had major bleeding at 5w 6days. I'm 12.5 weeks and so far everything has been just fine. (They never found a cause for either).
Are you on Crinone? If so, that can cause some spotting due to an irritated cervix.
I'm sorry, it's so scary. I also had spotting but everything was okay. It's such an anxiety filled time, I still hold my breath to see if there's blood every time I go to the bathroom. I hope you get good news soon.
I'm so excited about your numbers! Have you scheduled your first ultrasound?
It's going to be on the 15th! I was kind of nervous to hear that because I had ultrasounds starting around 5 weeks with my last pregnancy. I know the really early ones can be scary though because you can't see much at that point.
Eek that is an awesome beta!!! You may also be spitting from your uterus stretching. Finger crossed! Such a long wait for ultrasound!
Thansk! It's going to be a long two weeks! It wasn't originally part of my plan but my nurse put in orders for one more beta next Tuesday, just for peace of mind. She knows I'm a nervous wreck because of my recurrent m/c. I love her.

They did mine at 6 weeks. I would have been crushed if it had been too early to see anything definitive. Better to wait, IMHO.
Omg Trace!!!!! This makes me so happy to see your pg and your beta! Fingers crossed everything works out. Did you do IVF and if so how many did you transfer?

Crazy update...things had cleared up the past couple days then I had a big bleed last night. Nothing like the spotting earlier...I'm talking lots of bright red blood. Major cramps. We both for sure thought it was over. They brought me in for bloodwork and ultrasound this morning and shockingly baby was right there and looked fine. They said just seeing gestational and yolk sacs would have been good but we saw baby too! Couldn't find a reason for the bleeding and didn't see any near the baby. Just got the call that hcg is up to 7662. God that was an awful night but we are excited yet again.

Thanks! I really do hope that was the last of the bleeding. It's just brown now and light. This kid. Stressing us out. Can I just get some normal symptoms like nausea already? Lol
