No way are those answers conservative for homeschoolers. Statistics show that the majority (vast) of homeschoolers do it for religious/moral reasons. The people answering here are not part of that group.

I know a message board is not a representation of all, but the WTM is where most traditional (classical) homeschoolers begin. It's a representation of many. I just wanted to point out that the world of homeschooling is much larger than it used to be and sweeping generalizations of the community are just not okay.

Yes there are outliers. That is not aboard of its conservative side though.
The perspectives there remind me of 3 of my 4 homeschooling friends (I just remembered a 4th from the other day).
The Hslda types still remind me of the 4th.
It would be great if secular homeschoolers or those opposed to Hslda would charter their own national organization and become a bigger alternate voice.
I actually think this type of homeschooler is on the rise. I'm sure I am limited by the people I know (considering I am Catholic and really don't know any fundies in real life), but I don't think these people are necessarily outliers. A minority, maybe.

Minority is a better word.
But either way, even if they make up 50%, they are not the conservative branch of this group lol.
