So I'm back in the hospital, but thankfully it looks like I should get out tomorrow, if all goes according to plan. The pain was just too much for me to be able to handled until tomorrow, when I could get a pain pump set up at home. (They have a pain pump set up for me at the hospital and it has definitely made life bearable).
DH did sneak a peak at the PET scan results, and while most were good, it sounded like the doc left out certain parts that might have been bad (however, neither of us are physicians, let alone radiation specialists, so who knows).
Please keep the t&ps coming. I hope to get the paperwork for my one best hope filled out by tomorrow so we can get moving on that as quickly as possible. (Silly aside, I tried to get one medical massage therapist scheduled and she was like, "oh I have friends in town this weekend, would next Thursday work for you?)" and in my head I'm thinking, "Dude, I could be dead by then!" Not really, but it did make me laugh at our different time frames. I need TOMORROW, she's looking at a few weeks from now, haha.
Keep your eyes on my blog, as I will likely update there the most. Thanks for everything, guys.
More updates later in thread, but overall pain is much better than yesterday. Hopefully we can get me transferred home without too much trouble! Again, more down thread.
But anything I can do for you, let me know. I know a ton of nurses in Denver, in both acute care and hospice. I'd be happy to make some calls for you if it would help.
Morning update: night went well. Seems like pain is pretty well under control. Hopefully the transition to home care will go as smoothly. My blog is linked in my signature, or you can go to sunshine-and-shadows.com
