We are tighter than I'd like to be. DH took a 2/3 pay cut last year by leaving an executive position to work at a nonprofit. Haven't missed a bill and have an e-fund, so we are doing better than a lot, but the money does tend to go fast. Plus we just got back from Disney World so we're in post-vacation money drought mode. We still go out to eat though, so if we needed to cut back further we would just stop going out.
No. But if I get a BFP soon I will make it tighter on purpose by increasing our savings goals because I will most likely become a SAHM if/when a second baby comes along...

Money isn't tight - we've actually been spending quite a bit (for us) lately as the weather has gotten nicer and we've decided to tackle projects around the house. New landscaping is $$.
Yes. As long as I'm a SAHM money will be tight. We were very comfortable money-wise when I was working, like fancy dinners out and buying clothes all the time and nice cars, with plenty left over for savings. We have enough money with me SAH, but I can't just buy whatever I want anymore. We have to coordinate purchases around DH's paychecks or more often than not, just go without. It's taken some adjusting to be sure, but DS is totally worth it.
