The burger tasting thing last night was amazing. They brought out appetizers, salads, and a bunch of different burgers. They also brought samples of their various cocktails and spiked milkshakes. I have never been that full in all my life.
Seriously, if you have a Grub Burger Bar near you, you should go.

Bored, about to fall asleep at my desk, and I don't want to be at work today. I just downloaded the Hollywood Vampires album, hopefully that'll keep me awake.
There are 3 refrigerators in the break room, one for each department. Ours has 2 ice cube trays. Some asshole has been using them and not refilling them. I am 99% sure I know who it is and it's someone outside of our department who has no business using them in the first place. Unfortunately I have no proof.
Let me catch that bitch putting the ice cube trays back empty. She will rue the day she messed with my ice cubes. RUE THE DAY.

My mom's great aunt passed away this week. She was 97. My mom was close to her grandmother, and have her was like still having a link to her grandmother, so she's taking it hard.
As an aside, my mom's great-aunt outlived her husband and all 6 of her elder siblings - most by decades. :/ My great grandmother died in 1983, for example, and three of their sisters passed before she did.
Then my mom was all, "I don't know if I'll be able to make it the funeral because I had plans for Saturday." :^) She reconsidered and now she's going before heading to Farm Days at the Almanzo Wilder homestead.

I got a new sit/stand desk thingy for work. I like it. Today they gave me a little foot stool thing to rest my feet on when I'm standing up. I didn't realize standing was so complicated.

Wait, how do you rest your feet when you're standing on them?
I ordered something on eBay from ToysRUs. I received and email on Tuesday giving my the tracking number for FedEx. FedEx is showing no record of the tracking number and my eBay account has not been updated. I'm annoyed.
Oh, so like one leg at a time. Cool! I wish I had a convertible desk. BF has an automatic one in his home office and it's so awesome.
OH! LOL! Yeah, one leg at a time. It's so you don't shift your hips to take pressure off of one leg. Which apparently is bad for your hips.
But...wouldn't putting one foot up on a stool cause your hips to shift? Are there right and wrong ways to shift your hips? Have I been doing it wrong my whole life?
(I adored my adjustable standing desk when I worked in Denmark, but received no footstool or training on how to stand.)

I think I need to get Danny the wellness guy to come here and explain.
I can feel a difference because my hips stay straight, and not cocked to one side.
Both kids went down for a nap AT THE SAME TIME! I'm drinking a Pepsi max and enjoying a bacon, Asiago and chive quiche I made before their nap that just came out of the oven. I get to eat lunch and watch The Chew in peace! Heaven!

So, this morning I learned that the Aesir took over ruling earth from the Vanir when they were over it. The Aesir ran things until they decided to leave and handed things over to the Titans when they bounced. Then the Olympians took out the Titans and wreaked havoc on earth until Artemis was over it and locked them out. But apparently Apollo is a dick and trying to get back in and pick up on the havoc wreaking he left off on. I'm still not clear on how this led to vampire senates, though.
I'm leery of your book picks since you suggested that Nordic book to me.
I understand. I still really enjoyed those books, though. Fighting! Valkeries! Gods! Magic! Yay!
The books I'm reading right now are total nonsense anyway. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone I didn't know enjoyed nonsense. I'm going to read allllllll of them. Even the freebies on the authors website, but I know I'm reading nonsense.

this reminds me: I'm planning to make a bunch of quiche this weekend. I have a bunch of eggs and a bunch of cheese leftover from other stuff and quiche freezes well.
I need suggestions for combinations. Four combos needed.
Cheeses I Have: Chevre - whole Costco log Creamy American Blue - 1/2 Costco half moon Swiss - ~3/4 lb Cave Aged Cheddar - 1/4 lb Feta - uhhh...however much MH hasn't eaten yet. He keeps wandering into the kitchen and grabbing random chunks. Probably at least a cup. Pecorino Romano - a ton.
Other Stuff: Spinach Broccoli Mushrooms Green onion regular Onion Kale Ham Bacon
Ideas? I have all standard pantry items and spices. I think Ham and Swiss is a given. Not sure what the optimal matchup would be for the Chevre or the blue.

oh there's one near us! Was it a special event or just the normal dining? Tell me more...DH considers himself a burger aficionado.
We were there for a happy hour a few weeks ago, and the manager offered to do this tasting for us. It sounds like they don't do much marketing so they are just trying to get some good word of mouth in the area.
I was recommending it before they stuffed us full of food for free, so now I will happily preach to the masses.
