I appear to be having an allergic reaction to something they used at the dentist yesterday. I have hives inside my mouth against my gum line, swollen, with some rash on the outside of my cheek too. It sucks! I think it must be the lidocaine, because if it was the novacaine it wouldn't be so local, right? What kind of doctor do you see to determine skin allergies? Dermatologist? PCP?
Call the dentist ASAP!
They're closed on Fridays. I left a message but I don't know what they're going to be able to do about it?
Someone on FB just posted a 3D ultrasound picture of an 8 week old fetus. I Had no idea they did 3D utrasounds that early. It is a little blog with appendages. So crazy
They did the 3D for a bit at our NT scan. And at 12w it basically looked like an alien.
1. I feel old all of a sudden. I saw a girl on FB that I used to babysit, and she's a mom now. And my 10 year college reunion is next year. 2. My library's website is mobile capable, easy to navigate, and saved my login info, thanks google chrome. So nice to be able to reserve books from my rocking chair while holding a sleeping baby.
3. Question for the group: what is your favorite keyboard app for Android? I'm not digging the Samsung keyboard, and the Emoji keyboard I had on my old phone has changed and I don't like it.
Yes! That was my reaction at first! I admit I like a lot of 1989, particularly the upbeat songs, so when I heard him whining one of them at half-tempo, I was confused. But after awhile it sort of grew on me. I'm still not sure I like it, though.
I'm guessing TS doesn't care because it brings her attention either way. But it's weird to me that a legit artist is selling an album that's all covers.
I guess he puts out enough music that he can afford to do a "novelty" album without it defining him. But really. SO WERD.
I does remind me of the Travis cover of Baby One More Time I love:
I'm thinking about checking out a Just Between Friends consignment sale on my way home from work this afternoon. I have no clue what to expect and feel like I might be unprepared for craziness. But it might be worth at least looking around, right?
It's right up the road from my house; less than 10 minutes away and I don't even go anymore. I've only ever looked at girl's clothes and then the maternity and toys but the prices are not reasonable for the condition and brand of the clothes IMO. I can get much nicer, and not to mention brand new, stuff for almost the same price if I shop sales and clearance. I mean definitely go and check it out first hand but I would go in with the mindset that you may not find anything and then if you happen to it will be a pleasant surprise!
Oh I also have never looked at newborn clothes there so if that's what you're going for maybe there's good selection for little baby clothes.

I would take Benadryl and report to the ER if you have swelling of the lips or tongue. They can give you a steroid.
I took zyrtec. Throat and tongue are fine. I also have some steroid cream that's leftover from a weird reaction I had after dd was born. That I'm starting to think was from the lidocaine...

I got full body hives from an allergic reaction to an abx I got from my dentist. They wouldn't help over the phone, just directed me to the ER. Bonus is the hospital will see you asap for that so I was in and out fast. It took 3 days to clear up enough for me to function.
DS has a friend over and they found some of DH's old police stuff in the basement. Yeah. DS ended up stuck in handcuffs. Kids are dumb. And this is 100% why most of his stuff is locked like Fort Knox

I am an orthodontist and I would be worried about you if you were having difficulty breathing. Since you're ok (phew!), I don't use a lot of the stuff they typically use at the dentist's office so I"m not exactly sure what it could be, but culprits could be - latex glove allergy (you said outside of your cheek and inside which makes me think this), the epinephrine in the lidocaine, the lidocaine itself (they could've used something else like carbocaine or septocaine which could also be the culprit), or some material they used in doing your dental work because we dentists have all sorts of funky materials we use to fix teeth. I hope they get back to you on Monday - I would hate to have my patients be waiting so long for an answer!

sent and others, I really do think I'm okay. It's just annoying and I need to figure out what my next step is, since the plan was to do the same thing on the other side in a couple weeks.
Hugs cjeanette. Maybe tell him it's like people who need bloodpressure meds or insulin for diabetes. Some people's bodies need medicine.
Well we officially withdrew our construction loan app. I'm so done trying to figure out how a bad appraisal got through and let them drag us along for so long. We should have done this 2 weeks ago. DH is talking to a lender we talked to before about getting started, again.
I have eaten so much crap today it's ridiculous. I would be embarrassed to even type it out. Despite that I'm thinking of picking up Chipotle or Noodles for dinner and then going to watch the local Homecoming parade with DD. She will like the parade and picking up something fast for dinner that we can eat as we wait would be convenient.
I gave the biggest presentation of my life this morning and ROCKED IT!!! I had a number of people come up to me afrerwards and say how much they enjoyed my opening remarks. I've begun spreading the world that Were moving and I'm getting so many "oh no!" And "what a great loss" comments. Well, where have y'all been as I've been trying to survive BL for the last 2 years?
The kids are off school today. DD2 just passed up a sleepover at her friend's house 4 blocks away to stay home. I want her to have/make good friends but it is nice to see that sometimes my kids just like being at home & with their family. I never felt that way, I never wanted to be home.
All the nosy threads are refreshing...It's interesting & informative when we are not dancing around subjects.
We just had a fence put in between (perpendicular) my neighbors house & mine & the guy did an awesome job. He built sliding pocket doors...it's really cool.
I feel like crap & I'm certain it's because I've forgotten to take my thyroid meds for several days. Why can't i ever remember it?

I'm going back to the dentist on Monday for them to check me out. Since it's on the outside too it makes her think latex but that usually shows up right away so the delayed reaction is puzzling.

Went to Carter's and spent another $50 on clothes for DS. They were having such good deals that I couldn't help myself. Thank goodness he wasn't a girl because the clothes shopping would be a hundred times worse!

The bright spot in this day of travel suckitude is that they gave us economy plus seats on our IAD->BOS flight. WHAT AM I GOING TO DO WITH ALL THIS LEGROOM?!?

Hugs cjeanette. ADHD that doesn't respond typically to stimulants is so frustrating. I'm glad the pedi has a few more options to try if the med adjustment isn't enough.
I'm pretty sure I could refill DD's sandbox with the sand that comes home in her shoes from preschool. Ugh. The playground is really nice with a huge variety of unique, fun stuff to encourage creative physical play but has sand. We didn't have this issue last year as the MDO playground has really nice astroturf. I think I'm going to start making her take her shoes off before we come in the house.
