I have quite a few things at ex-bfs house I need to get. I think it's best that I try to coordinate a time he won't be there to get all of it. My friend offered to go with me.

Would you all suggest just texting him to see if there's an evening this week that he could be gone? I hate having to reach out to HIMA but I'd rather collect all of my things so I can be done with it.

Agree with rambling rose! I think it's short simple and to the point and lets him know that you are moving on.

I agree with RamblingRose.  If he does happen to be there, I'd say to have your friend stay in the car.
