fashionx, my bleeding post-mirena has slowed down a bit over the last week. Tomorrow will be 4 weeks since I got it. I'm still spotting, but I only need a liner as opposed to the pad I needed the past couple weeks. My nurse said to expecting bleeding/spotting off and on for like 6 months, oy.
Ugh, I know I was expecting spotting, but not just continuous bleeding like this. Hopefully it goes away soon!
DD had her first ER visit today. She went from totally fine to a 104.2 degree fever in like 20 minutes, which freaked me out. Unsurprisingly, it's an ear infection.
We were in and out of the ER in about an hour though, which was a pleasant surprise!

I'm cringing in fear of how our night is shaping up. DS2 (9 days old) is refusing to sleep. He passes out while nursing, but wakes up within 30 minutes. He did this last night too... We ended up with him in our bed because we were too exhausted to deal by 2 am. Send sleep dust!!
I"m sorry That's hard. Most of my family is asthmatic, so I'm hoping P gets H's lungs and not mine.
Can I ask, what are the symptoms of asthma in a baby that young?
She made the diagnosis b/c he's had 3 episodes of wheezing w/ contractions that required breathing treatments and steroids in 6 months.
It's interesting to see the difference in pediatrician across the country. My pedi won't make an official asthma diagnosis until age 5. Using the criteria you listed, DS was asthmatic by like 18 months old! We are BFF's with our nebulizer. I'm sorry about your little guy

I somehow got appointed to run social media for our GS service Unit. I run the PTA FB page so apparently it was all "oh CJ does that already so it will be easy for her"
Because building a following on FB is so easy.
I have a vent I want to bury in a randoms thread but I only have time after 9 at night when I am on my phone. This is a type on a keyboard sort of brain dump
bowies do you live in FL? I think they have the worst drivers. The first time DH visited my dad there I made him sit in the front seat while my dad drove. I'm shocked he didn't divorce me.
Hugs, we're in the same boat with our youngest. My fx that both grow out if it. What do they have you guys on? Right now we're doing a preventative steroid (Flovent) twice a day, four puffs total, and the singular granules.
He just got diagnosed this afternoon at urgent care so we'll figure this out with his pedi at our follow up.
Do the steroids make A hyper? DS2 gets ants in his pants when he's on steroids and I'd hate for him to be like that all the time.
DS is on Qvar as a preventative, 2 puffs 2x a day. It's a very lower dose of steroids, it does not change his mood at all. That being said, he's been on it for almost a year and it hasn't helped very much IMHO. He gets sick only marginally less frequently than he did before. Maybe that's the best we can hope for? I dunno. I do know that watching your child struggle to breath is terrifying. I hope he outgrows it quickly!
I think I just enjoyed sex for the first time in a year. Or more. I hate to really think about it.
i know our kids are about the same age, and i literally had this exact moment happen last week. largely pain free, enjoyable sex. i was legit scared it would be terrible forever. high fives for us!
Yep. I broke down and got a few pairs since I think I'll be this size for a little while at least.
Sent from my Moto X using Proboards.
What did you get? I think I'll get some AE jeggings .
I got mid rise jeggings and skinnies from AE, love them both and that they go over my stomach and hide it well. I also got a denim pull on legging from Gap and love them!
I haven't been drinking much coffee lately (which is one of my favorite things ever)....but I must say, I've been a lot less anxious. I probably should really cut it down and keep it that way. Makes me sad, it's one of my least harmful vices.

We see a pediatric pulmonary specialist and ours is the same. They won't diagnose asthma until they are older (5-6).
If you've retiled a bathroom - does it stink for a while afterwards? I'm trying to figure out if the tile/grout/sealant is off gassing or if the toilet didn't get placed correctly. It is...foul.

We see a pediatric immunologist and he can't figure out WTF is wrong with DS All tests come back negative, including all 30+ allergy tests. The immunologist and our wonderful pedi can't figure out why DS gets sick so much. All the negative tests mean it's nothing serious like leukemia, it's something more subtle but they don't know what.
There's this girl I used to work with who is ridiculously anti vaxx. She also is against chemo, certain soaps, and now dentists. Wtf. How do you live?!! I should defriend her but OMG I can't look away. I'm curious to see if she ends up homeschooling her kids.

I had my first severe eye roll in my office the other day. Had a teen in the chair to be evaluated for braces, asked mom when the last time they went to the dentist was and mom says "I don't like taking her because they use mercury fillings and those can give you cancer." I told her the alternative is to use a plastic filling and plastic could also give you cancer but she seemed convinced mercury would definitely give you cancer before plastic. I really wanted to argue with her but you can't win with them. I turned the conversation to tell her that the best filling material out there is gold but we don't use it because it's very expensive and we are a vain society. She seemed intrigued and thankfully she shut up.
I haven't been able to GBCN or FB effectively lately as my computer is too slow. Looks like I missed a vaccine debate that is now deleted on a local page today.

You're right, too can't win! That poor kid. I've had dental problems my whole life and it's because of shitty genetics. My mom has paid for everything and taken me to every dentist, orthodontist, and oral surgeon for whatever I've needed. I can't imagine not doing the same for my kids or just blatantly ignoring their health like that!
Yes. It's SUPER awkward. Because of course she's also super self righteous, and very vocal and opinionated.
Naturally. And her 'research' should be considered just as heavily as your RN degree.
I also have a hard time with this girl because we went to the same RE. So I'm kind of wtf to being okay with all the fertility drugs but then being soooooo anti everything else. It's just an odd combo.
