More info on the redneck wedding

BF's uncle called him last night to find out why we're not going (WTF?). BF gave a diplomatic answer and then uncle said "ah, that's alright, I'll see you at my daughter's next wedding."

Dude. What. The. Fuck.

Even if you feel that way, you don't say it. Just....no.

Oh, and we'll be missing out on the stellar food being provided by Jim Bob's Rib Shack. I'm so bummed we're not going to this.

We're not going because 1. It's on a Sunday and 2. Because BF doesn't want to expose me to this part of the family while they're hot messes. No idea when he expects them to have their personality transplants.

If this was a local wedding, I'd have hauled him to it on any day of the week. We'd have to travel a few hours for this one though, and neither one of us was too psyched about giving up a day of PTO. A close friend or family member, sure. A random cousin, nah. Even if there is a good chance of a screaming fight and/or ATVs.

To add to the drama, the bride's brother is engaged (and the family is about 99% sure the baby she's carrying is not his) and they are living with BF's uncle. Uncle got drunk and called his son's FI a trashy whore last weekend and then kicked them out. Awesome. Cannot wait for that to come to a head when they see each other at the wedding next month.

I think BF and his cousin are FB friends (maybe), so stay tuned for pics!
