Have anyone here or your kids been tested for ADD/ADHD, anxiety or depression? I'm curious as to what the evaluation actually entails. My son, who's 7, had an appt for an evaluation. He went to a therapist for the first time this week also. We got paperwork for us and his teacher to fill out. The doctor said the appt will take 60-75 minutes.
So my rambling, if it made sense, what should I expect when we go in?

Anxiety w my DD
Just recently we had an evaluation done to establish a baseline from which all progress will based on and what is triggering her anxiety -- we've got work cut out for us
DD2 has had 3. Two through school that I am not real sure how it was done. The one last November took 1/2 day. She is Bipolar mostly on the depressive side, defiant disorder and something else I am not remembering right now. I completed paperwork, her teachers completed paperwork then testing was done. I think the testing was kid friendly just long. I think it was harder on me than her. DD2 was 7 when this was done.
I used to work at a place that does this kind of testing (neuropsychological) and generally it was almost a whole day of testing. Usually a few hours in the morning, lunch break and then a few hours in the afternoon.
