We are headed to RI this weekend and staying with my parents. DH has his last spearfishing tournament of the year Saturday in Newport:) we are also meeting with a realtor and looking at some houses! I am really excited. We are also hoping to go to dinner tonight and leave Stella with my parents for the first time but TBD if that happens.

Can we have a Stella picture?
You guys are moving to RI, right? Have fun house hunting!
Sunday is my shower (I made H tell me because I was trying to make plans with some folks who I know wouldn't be invited). I will now spend Saturday practicing my surprised face.
Other than that, I think it will be a low key weekend relaxing and cleaning the house.
So cute! I had to go to my phone to see the pic--stupid Corporate Big Brother. I assume you're not keeping your job in Watertown once you move?
I actually am keeping that job, they are letting me become a remote employee! It will be interesting since DH and I will both be working from home but I think it will be good. We are budgeting housing on DHs salary only so that if it doesn't work out I can SAH but I want to give it atleast 6 months of WFH before deciding anything;)
Well today is my last day as a Massachusetts resident . But I will still check in here, I usually try and click on the page at least once or twice a day.
So I have a whole bunch of errands to run and pack the car today. DH is flying in today and then we are going out to dinner with my dad, sister, and her boyfriend. Tomorrow will consist of 12-13 hours in the car with the two dogs and DH and driving down to NC!!!!!!!! Sunday I found a Patriots meetup at a bar so we are going to that with our other friend that lives down there.
In other news, I have a phone screen interview this morning and an in person interview on Monday for two different jobs . Finally after sending out all those resumes I am finally getting responses.

So many hugs and hair pats to you scm1011. I am so sorry you are dealing with all these bumps and issues. If you need anything at all just let me know.
No big plans here. Tomorrow we're planning to take the kids into the city and go to the aquarium, out to lunch and just walk around. I realized they've barely been in the city and they're almost a year old, so thought it would be fun to do before it gets too cold. Sunday we have swim class and then I'm having brunch with @awinter!
Hi RockNVoll, thanks for the tag! Sounds like you've got a fun weekend planned
scm1011, sorry to read about your insurance hassles I hope the appointment goes well today.
I don't have anything good planned for this weekend. My H wants to get some house projects done and I really hope that he does because we have about a billion unfinished projects around here and I would like to cross some things off the list.
Rock, glad you are enjoying London and your US Travels.
SCM, GL with IVF! Hope your insurance co. bucks up. We decided I couldn't handle IVF and did the adoption route, now have a surprise pregnancy. And congrats on your marathon!
Preppy, your daughter is so cute!!
Let's see- As for me, I am about 7 months pregnant, expecting a girl with a 12/25 due date. I started a new job in July about 13 weeks pg, which has been interesting. But I like the job, everyone is very nice, I have amazing training opportunities, and I get a ML and will return to work at 32 hrs/week.
My IL's moved across the country 1 mo ago, which I am mostly ok with because she is very judgemental/intrusive but I am sad because of my kids. My SIL is also moving to CA in about 1 week which I am sad about.
As for the boys, my 4yo got kicked out of daycare, leaving me in a panic, but he is adjusting to the new day care. Fingers crossed they will have an opening in March for the baby. They are doing good, and are super athletes.
We have a small house, and are in the process of moving our room to the basement and giving baby our room. I have been enjoying buying decor and girl stuff. Ideally we will put our house on the market in the spring and will be looking to move. Will be a crazy year!
Only RockNVoll can get so many people to update! I had to make a list so I could respond to everyone. Have fun in Bath Rock! Every time I hear of it I think of Jane Austen
preppy, GL with the move and working from home! I really like it. Stella is adorbs
cgpm, have fun at the shower. I hope your surprised face is perfection
scm1011, good call on going in today anyway. It will be good to have a plan in hand. I hope you get things sorted out with a PCP ASAP
bostonmichelle, have fun in NC! GL on the interviews! That's great news
vtdiamond, have fun at the aquarium! I will admit we have yet to go
pinkroses, GL with the house stuff. DH really wants to do stuff around here this weekend and I'm meh
lizlemon19, GL with getting the house prepped. And have fun decorating for a GIRL! It's so much fun. Boys are great too, but the world seems to be built to sell the cutest girl stuff ever.
As for us, pretty quiet. We are trying some behavioral stuff with S starting this weekend to try and work through her school stuff. Tomorrow I need to go to my local yarn store because of a shopping snafu last weekend. I hope that means DH will take S to a local Trick or Treat the police department is putting on. Sunday will likely be singing in the morning followed by hanging out at home and cleaning/organizing. Nothing terribly exciting

Big hugs, scm1011. I hope you can get it sorted out. Good luck with the appointment today. RockNVoll, have a great trip! Be sure to fill us in - Bath is on my list to visit some day after reading all that Jane Austen. preppy, Stella is adorable! Definitely go out and enjoy a dinner with your husband tonight! Though don't be surprised if you keep looking around for Stella, or wondering what the heck to talk about besides her. The first time my husband and I went out without Ben was a little surreal. cgpm, have a great shower! bostonmichelle, good luck with the move this weekend! I'm glad you plan to stick around here as well. vtdiamond, have fun in the city! How are your kids almost a year old? Time is flying.
I'm off today, but I haven't got any real plans aside from getting a brow wax and running some errands later. Tomorrow is the baby shower for my brother & SIL, so Ben and I will be getting up at the crack of dawn to drive to western MA. I'm hoping he isn't a monster, because he's been SUCH a crank lately. I would go without him, but two of my great aunts will be there, and at least one of them have been dying to see him. So fingers crossed it's not too awful. I've already warned my mother and brother that we may have to leave if he's melting down. Sunday should be pretty quiet.
Hi Guys! Sorry I've been MIA lately too! I keep meaning to post and then the baby starts crying or something. I meant to post in the updates thread but never made it. I suck!
I'm doing pretty well. I love my daughter, although it still freaks me out to think that I'm a mom! It helps that she is a super cutie. She has the best laugh and smile and is generally a very happy baby. She's even sleeping well! Breastfeeding has been a struggle. I want so much to make it to a year, but chronic plugged ducts are giving me pretty constant pain. It sucks more than I ever imagined it could. If I had gone back to work, I definitely would have quit BFing by now.
Speaking of, I quit my job. I think I told you guys that! My experience was so terrible at that company (very different from preppy's). I feel like I have PTSD from it. I never planned to be a SAHM and realistically I don't think I'll do it for too long. I'm trying not to think about the future too much becuase it depresses me to think of job searching again. My last 2 jobs were such failures, I have no idea what I'm going to do next. But anyway, I told myself not to worry about it until after the holidays.
So lately I've been pretty antisocial and staying close to home to make sure I don't mess up my BFing schedule. I need to make some mom friends closer to home. I wish I could find a mom's group or something in my town.
At least we have a pretty quiet weekend coming up! H worked all last weekend, so I'm excited to have some help with the baby. It gets old being with her alone all day long! She's cute and all, but pretty demanding!

noodleoo, let's make a plan to meet up at the mall or something one weekend. Saturdays are usually sort of busy, but my husband watches football on Sunday, so Ben and I are always looking for something to do to get him out of my husband's hair for a bit, especially during a Pats game.
I'm here! I actually took a planned sick day today to get a flu shot and catch up on cleaning/decluttering around the house. I got the flu shot and cleaned ourt most of my closet and am now here. Going to go get lunch from my favorite sandwich place in a bit, then have an afternoon flurry of cleaning/organizing before DD & DH get home.
DD is at her dad's this weekend, H and I will go see his mom to celebrate her birthday tomorrow, and I've got a ton of work to do. I'm prepping to be interviewed for a local paper about a new school club I began this year. Excited/nervous about that.
It's lovely weather here, hope everyone has a great weekend!

I am very jealous of this. It's been gray and cold in London for weeks now. It was not this bad here last year!
Your day sounds so productive. And I meant to reply to your recent post about work being better these days--I'm so glad to hear it. What's the club you started?
Grey and cold has been the past little bit of time here. Sorry you're not enjoying this year's weather. I've finished cleaning out the bedroom closet. Saving the guest room for tonight, after an acceptable wine-drinking time. Although, it *is* wine-drinking time in London... I started an engineering/STEM based club at my school. Right now we have kindergarten and first grade and they are the cutest things ever. Love them. After the holidays, we will have 2-3, then 4-5. Looking forward to it.
I may be asking your advice - DD just asked to do a class trip to Paris & London next spring. We are divided on whether to let her do it this year or next, but if we go for this year I'm sure I'll have a bunch of questions, if you don't mind

Nothing actually. Last week we had the halloween parade which was freezing but tons of fun. This week, Legoland tonight, soccer tomorrow, swim on Sunday. For once we don't have any Birthday parties. The rest of the time I'm hoping to clean. Exciting I know.
Glad to see everyone's updates! RnV certainly does a good job of engaging everyone. I was wondering who tagged me when I hadn't been online in over a week, lol.
I just got home from a week of scuba diving in Bonaire 26 dives in one week = exhaustion. We would wake up at 6:45am each day, eat breakfast, do two dives, go back to the resort for lunch and more tanks, two more dives and then a night dive two of the evenings. I was ready for bed by 9:30pm each night! It was a really fun trip and we saw lots of cool sea critters (a few huge stingrays, lots of sea turtles, squid, trumpet fish, porcupine fish, eels, drum fish, shrimp, etc). The reefs there are amazing and in really good condition. It's all shore diving, so we rented a pickup truck for the week and drove around the island stopping at various dive sites.
Coming back to New England was quite the temperature shock! We turned our heat on as soon as we got home and the house is much more pleasant now. Our lawn is covered in leaves, so not looking forward to that chore! Ah, fall.

Hi Everyone!! I've been completely MIA.
We went to Vermont and Maine this weekend to basically stock up on good beer. We tried to get into Canada (since at one point we were only like 20 miles from the border), but with a trunk full of beer, they denied us, then forgot to give us a denial slip, so we got caught at US customs for a while. Interesting few hours.
I drank all weekend and I feel like complete ass right now, so I'm just trying to make it through this day.
SCM - insurance companies suck. We're going to start the IVF route again next spring. The shitty thing is is that we've done all the tests and know exactly what our fertility issues are, yet we're going to have to go through all the testing all over again.

I'm sorry you're dealing with this, too. The hoops they make you jump through is absolutely ridiculous. Our news got worse after I posted on Friday. Our referral was denied and IVF is off. If we want to continue, we have to start all over again at another clinic and I'm just not sure I have it in me. I absolutely LOST IT at work (so professional), and several colleagues witnessed me ugly cry at my desk. Good times.
Fuck. Is it just that the guy you're already going to isn't covered under your new insurance? I assume you've already explained your entire situation to new insurance company, right?
Something like this isn't just something that you can easily stop and start over. So so frustrating.

My RE is covered under my new insurance (which is why I didn't anticipate an issue!), but my PCP is apparently only allowed to refer to one specific fertility clinic, which is not the one I'm at. Since its an HMO, I need a referral. So I have an appt with my PCP (in JANUARY) to get the referral (because they refuse to give me one without seeing me first), and then can make an appointment with the new fertility clinic (which will again take months), at which time my testing will have expired and I'll need to start over again. Its so disheartening.
I am so sorry. I would call your PCP literally twice a day until they can get you in there sooner than January.
OMG scm1011, I'm so sorry. Can you find a different PCP that will refer you to your current clinic? And don't feel bad, I would have cried, too. I once was sobbing in North Station because I missed my train to go home to a doctor appointment to switch my birth control prescription, because I had been breakthrough bleeding for six weeks. Not my finest moment.
We got Maine Beer Company's "Dinner" (which is seriously the best beer I've ever had in my life), some Lunch and some Mean Old Tom.
We went to up through Stowe, VT and got a bunch of Heady Topper and went to Hill Farmstead and got a bunch of growler fills up there (they had Double Citra!). Got a little bit of Lawson's Sip of Sunshine.
