Friday we met up with friends to give them the costume we made for their baby, then went out to dinner. Then went to our friends' house for games and drinks. Got home a lot later than we'd expected!
Saturday we had to get up early to get G's car to the shop, then H went for a haircut while I got a massage. Went out to lunch, then home to set up our neighborhood party, then drove to our hotel for the night. Met up with a group of friends, got dressed up, and had a blast at the Halloween party.
Sunday we checked out of the hotel and went straight to a tailgate and then to the Ravens game. I passed out on the couch as soon as we got home!
Friday MH didn't get home until 2a from Vancouver, so Saturday we slept in-ish, until about 8:30. Then he had work meetings and I carved pumpkins and went to Costco. Saturday night we ordered Chinese, watched Halloween movies and handed out candy. Sunday we watched football basically all day, except for when we were napping. It was glorious and I am sad to be working today.
Can I just say that the extra hour of sleep thanks to daylight savings time RULES?!!!
Hmm...what the heck did I do this weekend?
Friday - I went to a psychic/paranormal event at a hotel in town. A medium/intuitive/psychic that I know was putting it on and it was pretty fun (and creepy). They showed some cool photos of "paranormal activity" and told some great stories. I hung out with Jerry's cousins for a bit, then drove home to the dreaded "man cold".
Saturday - taught classes, took a nap, then had our bff's over for a birthday celebration. We went to a brewery for dinner and had some fun.
Sunday - slept in and lounged around for most of the day. I did manage to organize a bunch of things in the house, so that was good.

Hey, all! I had a pretty productive weekend, but we needed to since we were OOT the weekend before and will be OOT this weekend.
Went out to see a friend's band play on Friday night, which was fun but it was raining pretty hard on the way home. Luckily we made it back OK and then the real flooding happened over night and into the morning. May I just say that I'd gladly go back to a dumb phone in order to stop getting 3 am Emergency Alert push texts about flash flooding in my area?? It happened at 3 am, again at 4:30 am, then again at 6:30 am... and again around 9 am. I mean, isn't once enough?? Talk ruining someone's sleep! (not to mention the sound is way louder than even my normal text alerts and I can't figure out how to disable the sound).
Worked a wine promo on Saturday for a bit, then came home and watched UT play a piss-poor game that they lost pretty badly. Drank enough wine to make me happy again in order to pass out some candy to the trick-or-treaters. We did not go anywhere after that, unfortunately all my friends are too into the parenting routine and we haven't been invited to a fun adults-only Halloween party in years.
Sunday we did grocery trips including Costco, got an alignment done on my car, made some dog food, watched the Texans game (they won, thank goodness!!!), did all the laundry including sheets & towels, and cooked up some chicken & mushroom lettuce wraps for dinner.
OrangePixyStix, if you have an iphone you can go to Settings>Notifications to turn off AMBER Alerts and Emergency Alerts.
Friday night we went to a party and had a blast but man, Friday nights are rough. We got home by 11. However, our team won the competition for the second year in a row! (The hosts have "minute to win it" type of games)
Saturday morning DH worked and I took care of some errands, we went to church with my mom at 4 that honors loved ones that have passed (as Nov. 1 is All Saints Day), then went home to get ready for my sister's party. It was good but less exciting than usual, which could be because I wasn't drinking, but we left that party to go one in our neighborhood and stayed until 2 and it was a blast. Everyone was pretty tipsy by the time we got there but we had a great time.
Sunday I lounged around for most of the day, even napped, and then I had to usher for Dirty Dancing. I would've rather stayed home but it was a good show.
Ugh, I swore off buying any Apple products, so no... no iPhone. I tried to poke around in the settings for this Android phone and didn't see a way to disable, but my next step will be to ask Google if it's possible.
Congrats on winning the team competition and glad you had a good time at the party even though you can't drink.
