My great-grandpa's favorite brother's (it's true!) name was Spike, so he gave my grandpa that middle name. My uncle also has it and so do both of his sons. If I ever get the opportunity to use it, I will!
Murphy and Morgan are my two favorite girl names. They're both family names. Murphy Jane, maybe.
I tend to love names that most people don't. Also, I'm typically a fan of boyish names for girls.

That's freakin awesome!! I have yet to meet anyone named Spike that's why we love it so much. It's a badass name too.
For a girl, our top contenders are Madeline, Allison, Marilyn, Victoria and Kennedy.
For boys, we love Samuel - it is a family name and I love Sammy for a little boy. We also both love Edison, which I know is unusual. Samuel will probably carry the day.

We also considered Lucius Fox for a boy, after Morgan Freeman's character in Batman...but only cuz we love Morgan Freeman...and not with any real intentions...
For a boy we're going with Parker for a first name. We like Dexter and Damian as well though.
We can't narrow down our girl choices yet. The top contenders are Elena and Temperance. Calliope is another one of my favorites. DH came up with Gwendolyn today.
Girls: Elizabeth Mary Rebecca Mary Mary is a family name and every girl on my maternal side has it as a middle name (past generations were very catholic, but I still like the tradition)
Cactus, we have very similar tastes. :-) DD is Rebecca, any future DD2 will most likely be Elizabeth, and I'd really like Alexander for a boy but DH has nixed it (bad associations).
Yeah, so we're good to go with girls names. I think we could have 6 or 7 girls without having to fight over names, but boys are another story. When I was pregnant with DD we came up with one single boy's name that we both at least found acceptable. It's Gideon, and I like it but it's not one that makes me squee and get excited about naming a kid that. We'll see what happens if we end up having a boy. If we have 2 boys, one may just end up being called Elizabeth (I'm joking).
