Ok so I've decided to just go with a black dress for my baby shower, it's slimming right? lol I'm interested to hear how you ladies would style this. I'm pretty certain I'll be adding a belt over the bump because my bump is WAY bigger than this chick's is so I need to tighten up some of the fabric or it just looks ridiculous.
The shower is Dec 5th in Michigan so it'll be cold. We're having a girl; should I add something pink/purple?
What a cute dress!! I agree with gringa, I don't think doing anything with regard to gender is necessary at all. I'm sure the shower decor will do enough of that for you. Since it will be cold, tights might be a requirement, maybe a colored tight with black boots? If it were me, I would do silver bracelets and burgundy tights with black riding boots just to give it a little color.
You could do pink in an earring or ring or something but I wouldn't go all out "girl" in trying to match the gender. Hell, I wore a navy dress to my shower for DD. I like the idea of colored tights and black booties.
You could do colored tights and boots, maybe a wine, plum or navy color?
I have wine/berry/maroon colored tights coming in the mail...it was hard to tell the exact color online lol. I have a sparkly/glittery gold belt that I could add, and probably black boots. I also have these iridescent earrings that I was thinking would work.
Not sure if I should do a longer necklace or a short one like in the picture.

If you do the gold belt, which I love that idea, I would do a short necklace, something very simple. Those earrings are so pretty!
