Well, unlike my worthy opponents, I'm going to give you a REASON why I think I'd be awesome as a global mod (and not because of my stellar personality and because I'm a wise old bat)---I'm on here late (Alaska Time is one hour behind PST), so I'll be available later on at night, on the weekends (usually), to clean up nasty shit that has a tendency to show up in the wee hours.

I'm PST and have a 1 year old that doesn't always sleep through the night so I'm up quite a bit trying to get him back to sleep. I can post from my phone whenever I have time and have access to my laptop when I am home. I read lots of different boards just don't always post on them.

I'm on the east coast and post/read throughout the day. With this app I'm also much more likely to be on at night and can hop on the laptop should something need to be moderated.

I've been around the boards since about 2005 so I believe I have a an accurate feel for the culture and tone of most of the boards (most just from lurking). On TN/TB I moderate the same-sex household and lgbt parenting boards.

I'm PST, also with a baby that does not STTN, been a "regular" on TK/TN/TB since 2007, was a mod before for both a local (seattle) and a national (chinese weddings) board. I have access through phonE (blackberry, so not through the app), so full mod functions are avail mobile-y.

Everyone should vote for ESD. She is awesome, she's around a lot, she's always been neutral and un-abusive of her power. She's been TIP mod for a while, and I believe she's also helped out on other boards like SO when stuff came up, which is a testament to her abilities.

ESD is by far the superior choice. She is smart, funny, gorgeous, her kids are cute, and she won't ban you for saying "weird" or "fuck". She's always online and easily reachable if shit's going down because many, many TIPers have her outside contact info. She is also the only candidate who regularly posts on all the popular boards (ML, MM, CEP, TIP).

I will vouch for this. The mod for the SO board was never available. We always went to ESD with questions/issues and she always helped us out without complaints.

She also bribed me to say this. But don't tell her that I spilled the beans.

Spam clean-up: Remember when the spammer was going around altering the html so that it redirected you to their website when you tried to click anywhere? Myself and a couple of other mods spent several hours (yes, you read right *hours*) cleaning up the mess since the users were only banned and their posts not removed.

It was awful. It'd start about an hour before I went to bed so I'd get those, one of the international nesties would catch it in the wee hours, and then I and some others would clean it up during the day. You had to go into each post and edit the html to clear out the code. It'd be 20-40 posts a night.

Why you should vote for me -- I was a Knot Mod for the AFB board and didn't use my mod powers once. When I became the mod for the RE board on the Nest, I used my mod powers only to edit out the links to spam posts because, let's be real, the rambling broken English in them is hilarious and should be treasured. I strongly believe that a mod shouldn't mess with a post unless it is spam or personal info. Or to change anyone who just comments "MUD" to "I'm a boring idiot with nothing useful to say".

Most importantly, I do not want this responsibility at all. I'm just competitive and like winning stuff.

Here is a summary of my qualifications:

I am a regular on TB. Have been on TB since 2009. I am a very active poster (read: most active for two weeks in a row) and check in on my phone frequently if I am not at home. Wow, saying that out loud makes me sound like a real loser.

Also, I promise that if elected, to have vending machines in all the classrooms and a famous band at the prom.
