I know that many people say the GOP will never let him have the nominee and he'll never actually become our president and blah, blah, blah. But what if he does? What if he really is the next president?
I think Paul or Kasich would call him out but they're so far behind in the polls that it probably wouldn't help them and Trump would just direct more bullying towards them and in turn rile his people up.

I'm almost hoping that he does get the nom, because Hillary will mop the floor with him in the general. All the of Republicans that I know hate Trump. I'm pretty confident that he couldn't get enough support from his own party to win the general.
What worries me is the possibility that one of the other GOP candidates who is better at downplaying their extremism will get the nom, and then might actually have a chance at winning the whole thing.

He'll do something wrong. He'll do a million things wrong. He is somebody who has never played by the rules and who does not have one bit of understanding of how the constitution works, never mind any respect for the process. I don't know what exactly would nail him, but I think people will find something petty as soon as possible, and just take him down.

Ooh I'm going to guess campaign finance fraud! No way he's financing this himself all above board. Maybe he's already got a "donor" funneling illegal cash with a clear paper trail! :::admires tinfoil hat in mirror:::
downtoearth - that's a great read. I didn't realize that undecideds in the primaries were so high at this point.
I do think that Trump supporters are likely to be unreliable voters. I have no actual evidence to support this, just my general sense.i
i think there are a whole lot of adjectives that you could use to describe "Trump Supporters" and "unreliable" is the kindest ones. I'd go with racist, idiotic, bigoted, assholes to start with....
But ESF ,fiscal conservatives. Andplusalso they might be running as racists, but it doesn't mean they're really racists. or something.
I'm not saying that their read on the GOP electorate is overwhelmingly accurate. Yes, there are those in the party who do not agree with the vile, disgusting words coming out of Trump's mouth. But I think it's abundantly clear now that the GOP has decided that those people are not an interest group worth speaking to. So make no mistake: this is the GOP of 2015.
It is. And if well-meaning folks vote for one of these people, then they are ok with and complicit with racism. Not sorry I'm saying that.
