A chronic illness really messes with your mind. For me, I had one flare up and got through it, then another bad day and another. Each flare up makes it harder to get out of the fog. I think it's a combination of feeling bad and accepting this is now my life.
It is really hard to be your best self when you feel like shit. Of course you are going to be annoyed with the folks closest to you and look for an outlet that let's you forget your issues.
Anyway, I wanted to let you know you are normal. I think a therapist can help you get through the down times. You can and will get to your best life!

((Hugs)) You've got a lot of shit going on. It sounds like you have identified some good steps to help you move forward. You will get through this.
The only thing I can offer is that in my darkest times, meditation has really helped me feel calm and centered.
I bet a million nest dollars that in a couple of months the work crush will have the shine worn off of him. And your interactions will be friendly but normal.

I'm so sorry you are struggling, carrots. You sound so overwhelmed, and I hope meeting with a therapist will help ease some of the weight of that. In the meantime, if venting here helps, we are here.
In addition to the ABX and other treatments for Lyme, are you also taking/have you considered taking an antidepressant? This time of year is hard for so many reasons, and ADs might be a good bridge while you're figuring out which therapist works best.
