How was your Thanksgiving and long weekend?

Could have been better.

Wednesday was okay beside H being sick.

Thursday was chaotic. Among other things, BIL who hosted spent half the day at the neighbor's house. Neighbor's daughter spent the entire day at BIL's house. Toward the end of the evening she started being my shadow.

Friday started out okay, but when we got back home, MIL's truck wouldn't start because it was too cold, so we had to drive her to the grocery store then to her house 20 miles away. All while H was feeling super crummy.

Saturday, I woke up with a sore throat and progressively got worse. I'm at the doc now. She's giving me a shot and a couple of drugs to take.

Thanksgiving - taught a couple of awesome classes, napped, ate.   It was really fun and we stayed until 10pm at Jerry's cousins house.

Friday - Slept in, worked out with our personal trainer, went on a hike, then our friends from Boston were in town, so we had dinner and 349086 drinks with them.  Our one friend actually puked all over our kitchen floor, ew.  

Saturday - taught classes, napped, then just stayed home all night and recovered from Friday.

Sunday - ran a couple errands, watched football, and got through some more of my real estate course.

Overall, it was really good!

It was awesome! We got in super late Friday night, but the whole weekend, we kept it low key.

My extra-long weekend was really good.   We drove to Austin on Wed and met up with friends to see a band that night.  
Met up with the family in a rental house for Thanksgiving meal on Thursday, it included my sister's new in-laws so that was interesting.  Everything was fine, just a minor bridezilla incident but luckily it was only my parents and brother who saw her wrath.   I'm sure she was stressed, but her complaints were so ridiculous to the rest of us.    Went to BFF's house to watch the longhorn game and have some drinks. 

Friday - I survived my (most-likely) LAST wedding as a bridesmaid!!!    <) (high5)
Things went pretty well even though the weather was total crap and we had to move everything indoors (was supposed to be outdoor sunset ceremony - but we got a bunch of rain and a cold front). 
I was the only bridesmaid that opted to do my own makeup, and it turned out just as good as all the other folks who paid a lot of $$ to have theirs done!  Even my cousin and husband said mine looked just as good, so I'm glad I saved a bit there.  Though I did pay for the hair since I pretty much suck at doing up-do's. 
Luckily I didn't do anything "wrong" to get a dramatic earful from the bride, though I think she reamed by brother at one point since I saw her pull my mom aside and tell her to talk to him about something that must have ticked her off. 
I think we are all happy that this shindig is behind us, and my mom is ESPECIALLY happy that sister & her groom are on a long cruise and won't have any cell service to call her for more than a week. 

Saturday was mostly wasted with being lazy, as the H woke up with a bad hangover and just wanted to sleep it off.   I watched football on BFF's couch, we watched a couple of movies and ordered chinese food for dinner. 

Sunday we went to see the H's family before coming back home, which made for an extra long travel day but it was nice to see them.  Got some gift ideas from them, too, so that was good.   Took about 4 hours to drive home due to all the traffic, but we finally made it in time to see the SNF game and do some laundry.

THREE babies born this weekend-- SIL's and two friends'.

G saw one announcement on FB and responded thussly:
"Oh hey, did you see Friend got, uh...her baby came out."

Thanksgiving was drama free!!

Friday I had to work til 1pm then we had my niece's baby shower. Our daughter (2 yrs old was invited), so we took her. That was exhausting!

Saturday I stayed in my PJs until I had to take my daughter on a Target run at 5:30 PM

Sunday we put up the tree and I had to go to a baby shower at 2. Fanciest baby shower I have ever attended. First I get offered mimosa or champagne. Then while eating it's white wine or red? or a refill my mimosa. Then we went and saw the Hunger Games movie.
