I think I started wearing my maternity jeans with DS at about 14 weeks, but mainly because I hated the belly band things and felt weird having my fly open.
I'm now ten weeks and updated my maternity wardrobe today. Washed everything and am feeling a bit nostalgic.
Somewhere around 14 weeks with DS1 and 2-3 weeks earlier with DS2. I didn't need them per se-- I could have gotten away with my larger pants or a belly band for a few more weeks--but I wanted to be comfortable. Plus, wearing maternity pants makes me feel pregnant; wearing my regular jeans unbuttoned just makes me feel fat.
I am 5.5 weeks with #3, and I suspect I will break out my maternity jeans embarrassingly soon.
I am thinking of going out to buy some to use already & I'm less than 8wks with #4 . I got rid of most of my Maternity stuff after wearing it since 2004.
Ok. I feel much better now. I'll probably have to use the belly-bands for another few weeks as I don't have any warmer-weather pants and I'm too cheap to buy some.

I think I used bella bands until 18 or 19 weeks. I never really found any maternity pants I liked, so I lived in skirts and dresses. I say you wear it when it's comfy.

My first pregnancy, I think I started wearing maternity pants between 13-14 weeks. With my second pregnancy, I was disgustingly bloated and started wearing them at only 8 weeks.
If you're uncomfortable now, I don't see any reason why you shouldn't switch to the maternity ones.

I can't believe you're 10 weeks already!
How are you feeling?
I know. Technically, 9.5. And, my cycle was pretty screwy when we were TTC, so according to the doc, I'm a week ahead of where I thought I was.
This time around, my morning sickness is all-day sickness and it is SO MUCH worse. I've been physically ill quite a few times, usually when exercising, but I'm pretty nauseated all day.
I went from eating Paleo to eating almost nothing but bread... and, according to the scale, a lot of it.
I never understand the "too early" debate on The Bump. If your pants are uncomfortable, then by all means don't bad buying a pair of maternity pants. The belly band has only worked well with me when worn with jeans. It's just not comfortable at all with my work pants.
That said, I have been in maternity work pants since, gasp, 6 weeks.
Tight pants increase your risk of hernia - pregnant or not. It's just not healthy. I don't understand people who hold out on comfort with no good reason other than "it's too early".
I don't think I will need maternity tops for at least another month, though.

Oh, I am so sorry you've been hit with the MS beast. I totally bet you're having a girl--that's exactly how it was for me when I was pregnant with Lu. I could only stomach carbs and was sick all day and night. I am so impressed you're still working out! I would just come home and crawl into bed.
So far, I am feeling totally fine but I'm only 5 weeks so who knows LOL. I am a little tired and get an occasional wave of nausea, but otherwise feel normal (plus, I caught Lu's cold, so my guess is that the fatigue is mostly due to that).
With Lucy, MS hit me like a ton of bricks right at 6 weeks, so I am super nervous that within a week I am going to be puking non stop. I will definitely be caving to the Zofran earlier this time if that happens.
I have an appt. with an RN on Thursday to go over some basic stuff (and get blood work) and then we go in for the first ultrasound on the 12th. So exciting! Assuming all goes well at that visit, I think we'll tell our families around 8 weeks.
Have you guys figured out how you're going to tell Wyatt?
Wyatt already knows For some reason, he was talking about babies in bellies-- probably a week or so ago? And then he started poking my belly, and we figured we'd tell him. He's pretty excited.
Then DH, who can't handle secrets (my family already knows, so apparently I can't keep secrets either), brought W with him when we met for my ultrasound (I came from work), and DS had a BIG BROTHER! t-shirt on.
Okay, that is the most adorable thing ever.
So, we were in the exam room for awhile, waiting. DS was entertaining himself by "driving" the exam table... yep, using the stirrups.
At one point, he pulled off the mittens and put them on his arms. Then he's got his hands over his head with a giant smile and the "big brother" showing perfectly. I'm semi-horrified that this is probably the picture we'll send to DH's family to tell them I'm pregnant.

I used a belly band from 12-16ish weeks, then switched to maternity pants. As soon as I switched I was wondering "why on earth didn't I do this sooner?!?!"

8 Weeks I wore the pants, I didn't use the shirts til about 20 weeks. My pre-preg pants were already a little tight before we got KU so getting the maternity pants early was a must
Thankfully, Old Navy has some warmer-weather pants on sale, so I picked up a couple that should get me through the first month or so of school. All my maternity pants are dark and / or corduroy, and it's still too nice here to wear them. Crisis averted!
Sixteen weeks with the first one. I'm only 8.5 weeks right now, so I haven't gotten any out yet. I doubt I will last as long this time around. I have heard from a multitude of second time moms that you bust out the maternity clothes faster the second time around, though.

With DS I held out with the belly band for a long time (I think like 18-19 weeks). Once I got in maternity pants though I loved them, and like someone else said there are some maternity clothes I never stopped wearing! For #2 I a plan on caving really early.

About 12 weeks I started with maternity pants. I tried the bella band for about a week before that & it didn't work for me at all. I am all hips with a much smaller (high) waist & the thing just kept rolling up to my waist.
