1. My co-worker thinks that she has pinkeye, but came to work anyway. She didn't know if it was viral or bacterial, but instead of going to a doctor, she came in to have one of our docs look at her. WE WORK AT A DAMN HOSPITAL, GERMS SPREAD HERE FASTER THAN A DAYCARE. WTF WOULD YOU COME IN?
2. Now my eye itches.
3. I need to step away from GBCN for a while. It's not you, it's me. Life's getting crazy and I need to focus.

We paid $250 for our dog to get laser treatment for his allergies. Four weeks later he is chewing his paws raw again. What a waste Benedryl seems to work but not for long and I hate drugging him every day.

Airfare prices make me sick to my stomach. DH & I are going to MA for a friend's wedding and tickets are $607 each. WTF. I'm trying to find any alternative possible but we are on a tight schedule unfortunately.
There was a bug crawling out of and around the water cooler when I went to fill up my water bottle this morning. I am beyond grossed out. I think the things are actually living in the cooler.
WTF! I was told I have to complete a long training program. It's in multiple steps, some are conference calls, some webinars, and one in person. They only offer a hand full of the in person trainings. I looked over all of the dates, only one would work, the rest I absolutely could not attend, I need to be here at work, which they agreed with. The one I could attended is a 3 hr drive from here, it starts at 8 am. They are refusing to pay for a hotel for me to go. Seriously?

You need to complain a bit higher up on the food chain.

That came from the superintendent's office, so the only place to go up would be the board, which isn't done.

Ugh, I hear you. Between flying to Memphis and to Minneapolis for weddings this fall, I am afraid to look at the sum total of what we have spent on airfare.
My IL Have decided to move the tour bus sized RV (which they bought the same week we bought our house because "we finally have a place to store it!") to a storage unit. I wish they had decided this 4 months ago before we re-did our fence to better accommodate the RV. Obnoxious.

One of my father's relatives thought it would be a great idea to get my 92 year old grandmother a kitten to keep her company. My grandmother called my mom saying she's afraid she is going to fall because the kitten is always at her feet, let alone the fact that she can't really take care of it. So now this poor animal is going to have to be rehomed because no one thinks ahead.
AW 1 - Turns out I will be getting a bonus after all!!! So excited! This will make moving SO much easier! I'm still waiting to officially hear about the place. I should hear today, I'm just waiting for the owner to process my application. There's no reason it shouldn't be processed though.
AW 2 - The place I want is a 2 bedroom!! That's a room I can whole for my closest, office, a spare room, a workout room, a library, etc. I can do whatever I want with this room.
AW 3 - I get to take all the leftover furniture in my current place. So a gross, crappy couch, but folds out into a bed, a dinner table, and chairs. Enough to keep me furnished until I can slowly start to make the place my own.

I've never heard of laser treatment... Do you know what the allergy is to? Have you tried hypoallergenic foods?

I have no idea what to do job-wise in my life. (I posted about it last week) I am so conflicted and I don't know what to do. I was 90% sure I'd take the bank job last night and now that I'm here at work today...my decision is back to 50/50. Why can't someone just make all my decisions in life for me?

The laser treatment is fairly new. I've been told it can work for allergies, older dogs with joint issues and one other thing that I forget. It was a pain, we had to do 6 treatments over two weeks in which I had to restrain him and cover his eyes.
We have tried foods to see if that was the issue but the vet believes its a grass/outdoor allergy. His muzzle is also red and irritated with little bumps. He didn't have this issue until early this summer (he is 14 months).

prepare to enter the dark ages.... when everyone else is cancelling home phone service, I went out and bought a phone yesterday - a landline. yes, I do have a cell phone but really prefer talking on a bigger phone when I'm at home and i have to listen to my mom or dad for 30 minutes....
Ds got his first set of vaccinations a couple hours ago. Besides some really good screams in the Dr office he's been a real trooper. Took a nap, woke up smiling, now he's nursing.
In other news, my mom gave us $300 as an early Christmas gift to by a freezer. I'm excited to spend it
I'm on my way to Columbus right now to visit my cousin. $71 flights each way and he's paying half!
SO and I also found cheap Christmas flights - $128 each for the first leg and $81 each for the trip home. I cannot rave about Southwest enough! They are so affordable.
rural- is it up here in KC? My sister had the same issue with her job in Manhattan and came and stayed with us the night before. I would offer you our guest room but you won't get much sleep with the baby up half the night in the room next door!

What is it with people not understanding that 90+ year olds are limited?
Our best friends are in northern Florida on the gulf for a family reunion thing. Her cousin planned it. It required her 90 year old grandmother to drive there from KY (well she was driven by relatives). She's already landed in the ER there from dehydration and now they don't know if anyone can get home because of Isaac.

Thanks, but it's actually in South West KS this time.
