I need to get my mind out of the gutter...I totally interpreted "meaty, I don't have any carpet but it always gets in the cracks..." completely the wrong way.
Ok, here is my UO. I don't understand why people don't drink if they are nursing (other than if they aren't drinkers to begin with). My baby is a frequent nurser, and I have never had a problem squeezing in a glass of wine. Also, only about 2% of what you drink passes into your breast milk. But then again, I also was one who enjoyed a glass of wine here and there during my pregnancies.

meaty- I don't have any carpet, but it always gets in the cracks of the hardwood and drives me mad. Good side of play doh- he has been playing quietly with it for like 3 hours (!!!!), bad side, is there are at least 8 million little pieces all over the kitchen table and floor.
If you grab a hunk of it, the little bits will stick to the bigger ball of Play-Doh. that's how I get all those little bits up, even in the cracks in the floor.

Also, booze really helps increase my pump output. I drank a glass of wine and then pumped like an hour later the other day. It was like 8pm and I got almost 9oz! (I don't even get that in the morning).

I fucking hate play Doh with a passion. It gets all over the damn place, and if it gets in your carpet your screwed. At Halloween they have the little containers of Play Doh that you can hand out instead of candy. I will throw that shit back at you if you put it in my kids' bags. Processed sugars only, please. Shape Ups are the ugliest shoes on earth, right there with crocs. They are even worse on men. Also, those shoes that have the individual toes, who wears those!? I have never seen anyone IRL who actually has a nice butt or is even semi attractive wearing shape ups, so I would assume they do not work.
LMAO! No experience with this yet, but thanks for the forewarning, ladies.
Mine is dumb but I really don't like the word "baby." I think it's because infancy is the stage of development I am least looking forward to in terms of being a parent. I am trying to have a child, who will be a baby for a while and then will be a toddler, etc. So if people are all like "how's the baby" when the kid is a year old I may smack them in the face. /gavel
I'm definitely not a fan of the baby stage. With that being said though, I definitely still think of DD as a baby in many ways. While she's crazy active and can do a lot of things, she can't communicate yet. I guess I group all kids under the age of two as babies, from 2-3 as toddlers, and 3+ as preschoolers/kids.
I thought that DS was a kid once he hit one, but honestly, now that he is big, I definitely see how DD is still really a baby.

I think it's stupid that companies differentiate "boys" spoons and "girls" spoons. So, because I have a daughter, I can only buy the "girl" ones, which for some reason are $3 more? I think not, Li will be eating off green spoons, thank you very much!

My guys couldn't latch, so I pumped for seven months. I'd always wait until my last pumping, and then have a drink. Our pedi okayed it.

ITA. although, you need to be careful with your choice of the word BABY, God forbid you stunt your baby, toddler, little one, child and she stays in that stage forever.
I call Li baby all the time, I must be doing horrific damage to her psyche.
People that brag about not being on FB are the same as people who brag that they dont watch .tV. It doesnt make you a better person than me..just different.
