The more I think about it, I think Timothy Olyphant may make a good Roland. He has that slim hipped, square jaw, steely gaze thing going on and now that he is a bit older, I think can pull the run down and grizzled look too.
yes. which is why I picture walter goggins as a great man in black/RF/merlin guy.
oy was modeled after SK's first corgi. soooo I'm hoping he's played by a corgi. I have a corgi bias though.
Oy was small enough to fit inside of a shirt at one point, so he must have been relatively small. I do remember there was a line saying he was the size of some animal but it has been a while since I reread the series. I am excited for this movie to be made though I know I would be frustrated by quite a bit of it.
I loved the Harry Potter movies despite thinking about how much they left out, so I can see myself liking these movies provided it was a series of movies as opposed to an attempt to make a single epic movie along the lines of Branagh's Hamlet.

I have no doubt that's how it'll go, it seems the only way they do movies now. I suspect they'll cut out a couple of the middle books (like the ones that are mainly back story, then make prequels later if the franchise is successful) but then the last book will be split into two parts.
