We are traveling for Christmas, so I am already plotting out what I will wear this weekend. Most of these things I am getting for Christmas from DH, so it is dependent upon them fitting lol.
Outfit 1: Travel day (Christmas) plus dinner and gifts with my parents
ON swing dress, possibly belted, with leggings and a red scarf. A little bit festive but still comfy for driving and a big meal!
Outfit 2: Want it to transition from brunch and celebrating with my grandparents to a night out with friends at an upscale bar. Would rather not have to pack a fourth outfit. This cardigan is from Maurice's. Probably pair with black tee and leggings, maybe the same red scarf as Christmas or possibly my mustard one.
Outfit 3: Our last day - visiting DH's grandparents as well as a car ride back. Sweater is Maurice's, possibly with just a plain white tee underneath it, skinny jeans and boots. Supposed to be very cold on Sunday, so this should be nice and warm.
Thoughts? Our Christmas is very small and very casual.
For the past couple of years, we've done a dress-up Christmas where we have a contest of Christmas-themed wear, and the best dressed gets a prize. Last year, H was the Grinch and I was Betty Lou Who. This year, we are going as Todd and Margot post workout: Other than that, I'll be doing comfy stuff, and something dressier for the church service. I still need to figure out what though.

This is AMAZING!! It's my favorite movie of all time! Pleaaaaasssseee share pics!!!!
Not traveling this year so it will just be the two of this year. H & I get new Christmas PJs each year and we wear them Christmas eve and during the day on Christmas. This year we went with plaid flannel pjs. They don't match but they are same color scheme.
I like the outfits you picked out. I might steal your outfit 3 for Christmas Day. I have similar sweaters. We are hosting, so I need something comfy to be running around the house in.
ditzydi That's such a fun outfit! I feel like I need a tulle skirt in my life.
Thanks! The inspiration outfit is a couple years old and I always loved the shirt. My co-worker wore came in wearing the top shirt a few weeks ago and said she got it from Old Navy. So I ordered it stat.
Here's the outfit. Dh said it looked odd. Said it reminded him of the scene of Ace Ventura wearing a tutu with a button up. Plaid and hawaiian print are totally not the same. Men.

Christmas Day - I got this shirt in the last J Crew factory sale and it is so soft! I can't decide how to style it - it might be my morning 'pj' outfit though I kind of wish I hadn't missed out on the sequin skirt, I like this one a lot.
Christmas Eve lunch - I found this dress at goodwill a couple months ago (it's F21) and plan to wear it similarly to this with black tights (this is actually the ONLY picture I could find of the dress, I don't know why she's making that weird face and the necklace/shoes are weird)
it's got cute details and is actually made pretty well (I swear their quality is all over the place and I find the best pieces thrift shopping, lol)
Christmas Eve night - I got this dress last year from a local boutique and LOVE it. It has this pretty red hue from certain angles so I like to wear it with my CL
One of my biggest regrets was not buying the LC sequin skirt when it was out, so I bought it off EBay for $7 and will be wearing that and a chunky cream sweater for Christmas Eve.

Ooooohhhh, is that red hue dress online anywhere?
I just looked and it is! www.shopfrockshop.com/collections/dresses/products/blaire-brocade-dress-gold It also comes in blue. The daughter of the owner (although I guess it's sort of changed ownership) designs a lot of the dresses I guess and they also buy unique styles. I've gotten a lot of fun dresses from there - although often a little pricey, they do have lots of sales.
ETA: I forgot to add that all her (the daughter) dresses have pockets!

Christmas is more casual and I'll be playing with my niece and nephew so likely skinny jeans and a plaid shirt.
I was just thinking about that! I have a couple sequin tops I like, but no dress or skirt. Ebay is a good idea for her stuff (I really like the random LC stuff I've picked up thrift shopping - there isn't a Kohl's near me).

I think this would be totally cute with a faux fur vest over it as well!
Everyone look so glamorous! I'm loving the mix of casual plaids with fancy skirts! We keep it pretty casual around here. I doubt I'll shower or get out of my jammies most of the day!
