What to wear w/sleeveless tunic-length shirt?

Target had a shiny silver tunic-length top that is actually really comfy and would be great for an upcoming dinner night. But it's sleeveless, which is not an option in winters here. What do you wear with such a thing?  I don't have or want to buy a moto jacket and feel like the contrasting lengths could look weird. A cardigan looks too daytime.

I think the right cardigan could look good, maybe a cute little black one? If you add some accessories I think it would be dressy enough for a dinner night. Either that or what bimbi284 said a blazer would work great as well.

Depending on the fabric of the tunic, could you wear something underneath it? I've done that before too.

Its longer on me though - another couple inches in front, about one more inch in back.  Also more of a shimmery silver IRL.

It looks like it might look weird with something underneath, so definitely an open-front blazer that is more hip than professional looking.
