I leave for Disney in 8 days and I just booked the luau. I never would have never booked it but a) We are staying at The Poly & doing Ohana breakfast so I cancelled Ohana dinner. b) The cost for the Luau is only 60.00 more than Ohana dinner PLUS it includes tax and tip PLUS alcohol and the show. So we are really only paying like 30.00 extra for the show. c) The food looks good and you get Ohana Bread Pudding which is worth the cost to me.
So did I make a mistake? Should I book something else instead? Has anyone done the luau?
I just added in The Fantasmic Dinner Package yesterday so I am like living on the edge here.

We are going to FL in Feb. and are going to have 6 full days there. We are doing AK one day and LEGOLAND another day. Depending on the weather, we may do a day at MK. We were just there two years ago and did Epcot, MK and HS, so we don't have a huge need to go back. Would it be ridiculous to just buy MK tickets at the gate the day we go? We already ordered our AK tickets and will be booking fastpasses.

Is it not cheaper to add onto your one day ticket ( I know the MK ticket is more $$ now)

I am not sure. The last time we went, we spent 4/5 vacation days at theme parks and it was TOO MUCH, so I don't want to fall into that trap again. And I really don't want to go overboard with planning again.

I would go on the website and see about changing your ticket to a MK / any park 2 day ticket.
I just wouldn't want to waste time getting my ticket at the gate.

We got our Magic Bands on Saturday, yay! We are planning for a very easy going trip since I'll be 32 weeks pregnant but I feel like I'm going to want to do it all. I just really hope DS likes the characters and that he enjoys himself.
Once I get either my bonus or submit claims for my $5k daycare fsa, I'm buying our DVC annual passes. Then I'll start strategizing FP+ for May. Can't wait!
Are you getting the gold passes with the memory maker?
I have not done the luau, but my friend did and wasn't impressed. It rained so hard the show was canceled so they didn't get to see it, had no money refunded, and she said the food was not great. Hopefully you won't have rain and the show will be great.

We leave in 11 days for our 7-night trip. I can't wait. We're all so excited. We're staying at AoA in a Nemo suite, and DS2 just watched Nemo for the first time this weekend, and he's in love.

If we are staying off site and driving in, will we still be able to easily park hop? Trying to decide if buying park hopper tickets are worth it or if single park tickets will do.
Also, if for example we only planned to switch parks on one day could we just buy 6 one park tickets instead of 5? And use 2 tickets in the same day?

I LOVED staying at AoA. The suites are awesome! We even took food back from the food court a few times and ate it at the table. Have a great trip!

One ticket per day. You can't use two in one day.
Once you pay for parking in the morning you can park at other parks that day for free. Your parking is good all day. Or you can take a bus/monorail.

Not speaking for MK, since you have to take the tram to the monorail, etc., but driving and parking between HS, AK and Epcot is easy peasy. I think buying a park hopper is cheaper than the individual tickets, so you would want to buy 5 tickets and have one of them be a park hopper.
If you aren't sure, you can always upgrade to a park hopper while at the park. Also, IME staying off site, it just wasn't worth the effort to go to more than one park in a day.

I'm making a calendar for my husband for his office with pictures of our Disney trip last month. So I'm going to post my favorites here as well because I love them

We had so much fun in December on our trip I can't wait to go back. We were originally going to go back in May, but now we have a destination wedding we are going to in June. Trying to figure out when we want to go back. We've talked about going again right before Christmas since we had such a great time. It's just so far away, LOL.

this is where we are staying in Sept- Nemo suite too! I can't wait!
We leave in about 22 days. I can't wait! I really need to narrow down all my dining. I just booked the star wars dessert party at DH's request and I was only planning for 1 night in HS in which we are already doing the Minne dinner. I hope I have enough time planned to see everything we want to.
