I don't know your screen name, can someone tag her?
Did you get the tyme curling iron? I saw you mentioned it in a style and beauty post. I've become obsessed with videos of this iron from fb and want one. It's expensive though!
OMG YES. i totally sucked it up and bought it keeping in mind that they let you return it within 30 days if you don't like it.
I LOVE IT. it's incredibly easy to use once you get the hang of it (and after watching a video or two, it's really not that hard). you guys know i've gotten sucked into a couple of other curling devices (in styler, tulip curler) and THIS one is the holy grail. it heats up really fast, you don't have to squeeze the shit out of your hair between the hot plates, and it works really fast. the curls last a long time, too.
they currently have some demo irons that are available for $160 with the 1-year warranty, but it's final sale.

You're tempting me! I want one!
I'm honestly really good with styling, but for some reason am having the hardest time with flat iron curls but only on ONE side of my head. Lol. I love the look of the curls/waves (looks just like the tyme) but is trickier on my right side and doesn't look even.
Would you say the tyme iron gives the longest lasting curls? My hot tools curling iron curls look great but fall. The flat iron lasts longer, but see problem above.
they definitely lasted a long time. i used it on saturday night for the first time and the next morning, the curls were pretty much intact. i only touched them up because i was actually going out, but i could have easily gotten away with it as is right out of bed.
Hmm every time so see the videos I want one so bad. But I have naturally curly hair. So unless this will straighten and curl I'm too lazy to use two separate tools.

Unless your hair is very tight spirals, you don't have to straighten before curling. In general, not just with this. The barrel of the curling iron smooths the hair as it curls or waves. My hair used to be curly, now its wavy and I don't straighten first.
so I decided to bust it out and time it to see how long it took to curl my hair. this took me less than 15 minutes.
(yeah, it's a little 80s-style big but it gets the point across!)

I love it!
So I decided that I need to become more proficient at the flat iron curls and practiced after watching a you tube during nap. I think I fixed the weird one half being better than the other. Excuse the no smile, toddler sucked any chance of smiling tonight out of me.

Ah, good to know! Clearly I do not own a curling iron. I've tried with my flat iron before but it always just looks a mess.
