DD1 was born 12 days early, DD2 was 10 days early. I had convinced myself that DD2 would be on time or late, and was totally surprised when my water broke.
Baby 1 went into labor at 37w, delivered at 37w1d.
Baby 2 was a scheduled c-section at 39 weeks, showed no signs/interest on coming on his own before then, and was wedged up so high that it took two male doctors pushing with all their might to get him down so they could pull him out.
I feel like I got really spoiled with a 37 weeker. I never got to that point of hating every moment and just being DONE being pregnant. If I could guarantee healthy babies like DD, I'd love to have them all at 37 weeks.
Which means I'm sure I'll go to 42 weeks with all the rest.
Those last two weeks with DD2 were almost annoying because I assumed she would come early like her big sis. Nope.
This exactly. Plus DS #1 was a pound bigger.
You know what's funny? My gals were nearly the same weight -- DD2 was just one ounce bigger. I joked that my uterus must have a weight limit, and once babies hit that, BAM! Evicted!
With DS I went in to labor at 37+1 and he was delivered on 37+2. I had literally finished everything on my "have to" list like an hour before my water broke. He was a good size (7lb 8oz) and perfectly healthy and I never got to the point where I wanted him out.
I am pretty sure this means that I am going to go over due this time and have a 10 pounder lol.
