Does that mean you can only do your fastpass reservations one day at a time? I was considering staying up until midnight tonight but I don't know that I want to do that four days in a row.
And for anyone who knows both WDW and Disneyland, what rides are the most unique to WDW and worth the FP? I know the mine train at MK, and pretty much everything at Epcot are going to be new to me. And Pooh is better at MK, right? Is that worth a FP?

Pretty sure that is what it means. You can only book 30 days ahead if offsite. What FPs are you trying to get? If you want A&E I would consider staying up for that day.
FWIW, we stayed offsite last year (by far our preference) and had no problems booking FPs the day of. I think they may hold a certain block of FPs and not realize them until the day of. There wasn't a single ride we wanted to go on that we couldn't reserve during a convenient window - and we were there over spring break. It's had me wondering why people get so stressed out about them on here.
