What were the vitamin c recs from way back in the thread? I stopped using it when I started tret and now that I'm ready to add it back in, I can't remember what I tried! I think Klarins was one, but there were a few others...
I like this one, particularly because it's a stable formulation and I don't have to worry about it turning.
Can we do updated routines? I got into just using sunscreen and moisturizer for the last few months and can't decide what to purchase /re-purchase.

I am also using Murad Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum (2% hydroquinone) morning and night but it is not working to my satisfaction, especially for the $65 price tag.
I think I need to add some AHA/BHA, retinol, or Vitamin C (possibly a combination of a few).

I bought a new bottle of the Benton Snail/Bee essence last week from Amazon. When I received it, I was surprised to see that it was half the size of the last bottle I had. Not sure how I feel about that. On one hand, I feel like I overpaid but on the other hand, I couldn't get through the last bottle before it started to "go".
I'm still trying to figure out how much snail is too much snail.

I've started regularly using the good old hado labo hylauronic as a sorta mixing agent for my one drop at a time items - like the fancy ass assorted ginseng oils I'm testing right now. (Sulwhasoo , history of whoo, etc) I like to feel like I'm actually getting stuff all over my whole face, so I just do my one or two drops of the serum/oil/etc in a few more drops of the hado labo and it all sinks in very nicely and I feel like I get a more regular distribution.
Also I've finally got AB full sized empties and I'm almost sad that they're things I loved and already repurchased (above mentioned hado labo, cosrx all in one, and my sum:um rose stick is getting close) I want the excuse to buy different things. boo.
Of course I also still have most of my latest shoebox sized foil packet haul to go so...I should get a grip. I think the history of whoo wild ginseng ampoule oil is my favorite of that group still. I can't even point to a specific "oh, it does this" I just feel like my skin looks nicer when I used it. The similar sulwahsoo is also nice, but I think whoo has the edge.
Not sure if this has been mentioned but yesstyle is having what seems to be a decent sale. I believe that's a trusted site, correct?
Yes, while I haven't personally used them, they are a trusted site from many in the AB community. I need to do some price shopping between them and sweetcorea because there are several products on sale right now that I need to get!
I was going to place an order from RoseRoseShop but shipping is over $30. I just want my beloved Lador hair stuff that Memebox stopped selling and no one else seems to have it.

I actually found big bottles on ebay and while they cost more they also have free shipping so it works out to less overall. They're still coming from Korea though so it's an estimated 12-33 days for shipping.

Not sure if everyone knows about these sites, but here’s links to Korean amazon-like sites. (Gmarket is most popular). They will charge intl shipping rates but usually the item price is low so it might still be competitive overall. If you buy regularly enough they’ll give you coupons.

Hey chica!! I've been thinking of you and miss seeing you around. Hope you and your lovely family are doing well. I'd love to hear how the boys are doing. 😘

Thanks so much!! Miss you too MrsA! We’re adjusting to being back in the US. No surprises or anything big but there’s always something to work on. My kids are in first grade now. (I don’t understand how that’s possible.) They’re still crazy but mostly in a good way haha. Hope you and your family are doing well!

I didn't know you were back! Did you return to the same part of the country or somewhere new? We are all doing great. Ben is in fifth grade!! He's an awkward preteen - lol. Sob.

OMG 5th grade. :::faints::: Yup we moved back over the summer. We not only moved back to the same area, we moved back to the same house we had before we left. It's almost like we never left which is good and bad. But overall so much easier.

I'll finally update my routine:

PM add-ons: - The Ordinary Azelaic Acid - TO Lactic Acid 5% - TO Retinol 1% - Secret Key Starting Treatment Essence (was using TFTE but just started this) - Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 - Hada Labo Hyaluronic acid
I've started regularly using the good old hado labo hylauronic as a sorta mixing agent for my one drop at a time items - like the fancy ass assorted ginseng oils I'm testing right now. Thank you for sharing this. I have a bunch of samples of the History Of Whoo ginseng oil and I just tried putting a few drops into my hada labo. Fabulous.
Here's my routine. I'm still trying new products and will be cycling in a few other things as it gets colder.

- Sheet masks
- Sunday riley good genes
-Murad advanced acne & wrinkle reducer
-REN glycol-lactic mask
I need to get my crap together re: acids and whatnot. I'm not using anything consistently enough to get any progress.
Just got the Rosette Ceramide Gel from Amazon. I stumbled upon rave reviews of it on the reddit AB board. $13, 3 kinds of ceramides, beloved for repairing/maintaining the skin barrier, and a La Mer dupe.
It's supposedly sticky for some time after applying, but once it's soaked in, your skin is like a bouncy, smooth baby's bum? 🤷🏻♀️Okay, then, count me in!
I'm planning to use it as a sleeping pack. Will update!
wawaorigami do you all know of any not-super-expensive ginseng oils? Holy heck most of them are pricey!
The sulwhasoo cream samples I got aren't rocking my world, but then again, now that winter is coming I may come to appreciate creams more.
Every major Korean line sells ginseng products so there’s a ton of stuff. The more moderately priced brands are way cheaper than Sulwhasoo, but ginseng is like a medicine so it won’t be super cheap. Or if it is then I would be wary. I think the less expensive the product, the less ginseng is in it. But that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s bad. If you don’t want/need a lot then who cares. I have been using Sulwhasoo’s ginseng serum and I’m not wowed by it either. I won’t be rebuying. I do like the moisturizer because it’s light and doesn’t give me acne. Anyway, if you have a different Korean line you like other products of, I’d just google that + ginseng and see what they have. I haven’t tried any of these products below but I’ve used other stuff from their stores:
-Nature Republic’s Royal Silk line has ginseng. Might only be available on Gmarket. -Tony Moly’s Prestige line. Looks like it’s on a few Korea-to-US sites. It’s more expensive than Missha/most Tony Moly stuff, less than Sulwhasoo. A tweener line. -Missha’s Geum Sul line is actually available at my local Bed Bath & Beyond. -Face Shop’s Yehwadam line. Looks like it’s online but from random or intl sites. -Aritaum sells the Geuk Jin line. I thought Aritaum was in the US now but it looks like this line is sold out here? So it might only be available on Gmarket. Aritaum is usually a step up in price from the above stores, but not as pricey as Sulwhasoo. -The Saem’s Sooyeran line. Might be on amazon or eBay, etc. They have a global website but it didn’t look to me like much/anything was sold on it.
I'm ready to make my first snail purchased, but I'm overwhelmed with the options. I'm thinking either Cosrx 96 or Cosrx 92 AIO. Or should I go with the Mizon Repair Intensive Ampoule, AIO cream, or recovery gel? Benton Snail Bee Steam Cream? I generally have good skin and am mostly concerned with hydration. Suggestions?
