loonylunalovegood , that lip mask is hilarious. I may need to get one just to show DH.
I don't need anything "new" yet, but I might cave on the bubble mask. I keep getting bombarded with it in ads and now seeing you tried it. man, resisting is hard.
I've been using the snail bee essence for like 3-4 days now. Is it too soon to declare my love for it?
What?? No, it's never too soon to declare your undying love and devotion to a new and snaily product (until we all fall in love with something better).
So I started a routine about a week ago, but I'm not really seeing any results. :/ I'm mixing Asian products with western products, but that shouldn't really make a difference, right?
The Hope Girl box is fairly new to them, so I haven't tried that one. BUT the Freeset Donkey Milk 3D moisture cream is my holy grail moisturizer. It is amazing! It's a strange consistency, but it sinks into my skin with no problems and feels divine.
I've been wanting to order this but I'm a little weirded out by donkey milk. I'm fine with snails and bees and whatever, but donkey milk seems odd to me. I should get over it. I'm placing an order from koreadepart.com today, my goal is to not go crazy.
I'm the same. I can easily get on board with snails and bees, but donkey milk? HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORK.

No, although I wouldn't expect ANY new skincare routine, Asian or otherwise, to produce measurable results in a week.

You'll see negative effects of new skin care quickly but it usually takes about four weeks to see a real change in your skin.

I'll slather myself with donkey milk before I go for horse oil. Blech!!!!
Do you have generally nice skin? Maybe it's because my skin turned on me at the age of 12 (LOL), but I've become accustomed to waiting 8 or so weeks to see positive changes with any new product. I have to imagine if your skin is pretty good, those changes might be even more subtle.

I have excellent skin, if I do say so myself. Before I was just washing my face with water. Sometimes with cleanser if I was wearing face makeup.

MUST BE NICE!!!!!
Well, I have to say if you already have excellent skin, the changes are going to be pretty subtle. I starting using Asian products mainly because I feel like I am constantly waging war on my face, and I needed a new approach. LOL. I would look at them as more maintaining your skin, protecting against UV rays, and adding some anti-aging benefits. What products are you using?
I need to stop reading this board, I am spending too much money. I just spent $100 on roseroseshop, in addition to the $60 I spent on Amazon last week.
I am 42 with oily acne prone skin and huge clogged pores. I will try anything to have clear skin.

Have you tried LJH tea tree essence? I'm 35 with similar skin issues to yours and honestly have tried almost every OTC product I could get my hands on over the years to help with the acne. And that essence (plus I think the double cleanse process) has been life (skin? ha) altering for me. I know skincare is very YMMV and many people have different results with products but I cannot recommend that stuff high enough.

Thank you for the rec. I will check it out (and most likely purchase haha) tonight.

That's how I feel too. I don't know why! Maybe because they keep saying it's the closest thing to human breastmilk. I'm currently breastfeeding so that shouldn't weird me out but it does.
Has anyone tried the dynasty cream by beauty of Joseon?
I haven't, but I've heard it's HG for a lot of people. It's on my list

I'm kind of in the same boat. I don't have troubled skin, just getting old and need a lot of help. I haven't noticed a huge difference in anything but the texture of my skin. It's softer and in the last week (I started this about a month ago) it's really started soaking up product.

I'm not ignoring, I just can't remember without them in front of me. I'll update tonight.

Ditto. I've had troubled skin on and off over the years, but I started using CerVe am and pm a while back and it's been great since. It's mostly just old and wrinkly with a little acne scarring. I am purging a little since I added a BHA, but hopefully the snail mucus keeps it in check and speeds up the healing. We'll see!
pantsparty - Ok, so my nighttime routine is: Remove eye makeup with Bioderma cleansing water; remove face makeup with the makeup eraser; cleanse face with su:m37 rose miracle cleansing stick with a konjac sponge; Hada Labo toner; sometimes a face mask; Kiehls midnight recovery concentrate; Origins night-a-mins moisturizer. Daytime is: wash face with Origins check and balances face wash; Biore Watery Essence sunscreen.
Reporting back on the Caolion Hot & Cool Pore Pack Duo. I used it last night, and OMG, I can't believe how great my skin looked and felt this morning. I've been fighting enlarged pores since my 20's, but after just one treatment with this stuff, the only pores I can see are just a few on the tip of my nose. Although the hot pack initially burned like a mother effer, after about 5 minutes the burning subsided. After that was rinsed off, I used the cool pack. I thought it had a rather offensive smell, but with that being said, I give this a huge thumbs up. Huge.

Okay, these all seem like nourishing products in general and over time your skin will probably start to feel smoother and be in better condition. I'm not sure if you were using the Kiehls/Origins prior to changing out your routine, and I'm not familiar with these products, but if your skin is in overall good shape, I'm guessing they will help it to stay that way. The real AB products (face wash and toner) are meant to balance your skin's pH and provide better overall moisturization, so I wouldn't expect miracles from those. And I don't sheet mask, because I only want to devote so much time to my evening routine, so I don't really have a comment there.
If you run out of Kiehl's, I'd recommend Missha Time Revolution serum. It's supposed to be a dupe for Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair but far less expensive.
Also, I'd consider adding vitamin C as an anti-aging booster. I like the OST formula, which ships free from Wishtrend. It looks like it sells on Amazon, too, but I'm betting the shipping from OST is equally slow, since it's also from Wishtrend. I apply it in the mornings right when I wake up, sit for 20 minutes, and wipe off before I work out. It's not super stable, though, and requires refrigeration. There are formulas that are more stable, like from MUAC.
I might consider adding something with niacinamide, too, as another anti-aging booster. I use the Benton Snail Bee line, I really love their Essence. I have oilier skin and this sinks in wonderfully in the mornings. I also use it in the evening, after toner.

I just started the time revolution serum last week and am really excited about it. I'm hoping to see some good results with it! Also I haven't been refrigerating my OST, crap. Am I totally screwed? It's about a week old I think. And I just started the benton snail bee essence this morning. It feels good but I think my face might be a little red, I wonder if I'm reacting to the bee part of it? It doesn't itch or anything though so I'm just going with it. @vodoo I got the Mr Honey essence yesterday (after waiting for a month for it to get here). It's crazy how something that smells just like honey isn't sticky at all. It gorgeous stuff, I hope my skin likes it!
So I’ve started using the following: Missha Time Revolution first essense mist, etude house collagen toner, the Benton bee venom serum, Benton steam cream, missha snail repair ampoule.
So far so good. I actually think my skin looks brighter and happier already. I’m not flaky around my mouth and chin anymore which is awesome. The older I get, the less my skin can tolerate the harsh prescription stuff. (I had been using tazorac, but omg the flaking)
Can someone tell me if this order seems right please? AM: Cerave Foaming cleanser Paula’s Choice BHA exfoliant Etude house collagen toner Missha time revolution first essence mist Benton snail bee high content essence (sometimes mixed with paula’s choice vit c booster) Biore uv sunscreen or Cerave AM lotion
PM: Clean it sherbet cleaner Cerave foaming PC BHA exfoliant Etude house collagen toner Missha snail repair ampoule Benton steam cream
How do I get things moving faster in the morning? How long are you all waiting between products? I’m doing the patting application to make it quicker, just not sure how long I really have to wait.

Yep, I would refrigerate ASAP. When it starts to get darker in color, it's oxidized and no longer good for use. That's why it's not worth it to stock up on it, because the second bottle would likely go bad before you needed to use it.
I don't have any negative skin reactions to the Snail Bee line. It sounds like maybe you've added a few new products at the same time, so it's hard to say if for sure it's the Snail Bee Essence. I would keep an eye on it.

I don't wait at all between products unless I'm using an acid. I just put them on one right after another. I usually wait a few minutes after applying all my moisturizing products before applying sunscreen, then once I apply sunscreen, I apply eye makeup primer, brush my teeth, and apply eye makeup before putting anything else on my face, so that allows it time to sink in.
Also, I posted a video earlier in this post - I apply products by squirting a little bit in my hand, lightly rubbing my hands together, and then patting my face with my palms. So there's not a ton of product and it sinks in pretty quickly.

With everything but your BHA in the morning I would only wait a minute or so. I tend not to do acids in the morning, or if I do I only wait 5-10 minutes before applying the next product. You can probably do your toner and essences right on top of each other. I tend to need a couple extra minutes after my sunscreen before I apply my makeup.
