Leftovers Frozen dinners (I do try for something good, like today is butter chicken) I did mason jar salads a la Pinterest for a bit, and they were good.
The only thing I ever really get excited about is leftover Chinese take-out. Which is....leftover takeout....so I'm guessing not what you were looking for.
I'm the worst at this, I usually only do leftovers if we have them. What about some sort of fancy bagel sandwich? I make sure to bring treats when I bring my lunch, otherwise I feel too sad/unsatisfied LOL.

Usually leftovers from dinner.
I try to force myself to eat what I bring (even if it's something not that great, like a sad sandwich) and then if I'm still hungry I'll treat myself to something like a yummy desert/cookie/smoothie from a nearby bakery.

I prep salads for the week on Sundays. So I have that and some crackers and spreadable cheese today. Sometimes I sun some soup for the cheese and crackers.

Salad topped with chicken nearly every day. Sometimes I am crazy and go without chicken. HOnestly, the only thing about living in the tundra is that the cold makes it so that I don't want to leave my office at lunch.
Another thing I always got excited about was bringing all the fixings for soft tacos. I would pack everything separately, and assemble them just before eating.
I'm the most boring lunch person ever. Nearly every single day at work I have
Salad with hard boiled eggs or chicken, along with cucumbers, peas and/or cut carrots Thousand Island dressing on top Yogurt Some sort of carb like pop chips, animal crackers, popcorn, etc.
I eat at 12 and have a snack of an apple daily at 10:30 and another snack during my prep somwehere between 2-3.
I will sometimes make a big batch of soup and then freeze it in single serving containers. Then it's easy to transport, stays cold and is something good for lunch.
Always leftovers. Lately, I've taken to cooking 3 or 4 large meals on the weekend and just eating them for lunch and dinner throughout the week. I don't really give myself the option of getting takeout though.

I take a big smoothie literally every single day. I make it really thick, then I stick it in the freezer when I get to work. I tell myself it's like eating ice cream for lunch. I also prefer to eat the same thing every day because it's less that I have to think about and plan.
Maybe I need to start leaving my wallet at home. There are so many options in my building so I never have to venture into the cold. I ended up ordering a Jimmy Johns sandwich.
The 'coffee cart' in my building only takes cash so I have to venture farther afield if I don't have cash on me, so that helps.
Otherwise, today I have soup, crackers, cheese, clementines and tomatoes. Very exciting. I do also have some cash on me but I'm tracking my food to lose some weight so I have to bring from home so I know what I'm eating

I'll make something we really like on Sunday that we can take all week, that's only for lunches. Salisbury steak/potatoes/peas, chicken tortilla soup and diced avocado and cheese to top, lasagna...
I pretty much universally bring leftovers from dinner the night before. When I cook, I almost always make enough so that both H and I can bring some for lunch the next day (with a piece of fruit to supplement!).
I do a lot of frozen meals. I know not the best but it's easy. Leftovers. I usually pack a salad and some things to munch on all day. It's HARD not eating out. I try to be good all week and then let myself go out on Fridays.

The closest restaurant to work is a 15 minute drive, and it's not good, so I bring my lunch more than 90% of the time. It's a lot of sandwiches, sometimes soup, sometime cafe steamers. I like to bring vegetables like carrot stick or sugar snap peas. Lots of fruit. Some kind of snack like trail mix. Definitely, the distance is what keeps me from eating out more. Where I used to work, there was a decent cafeteria and I bought lunch about 3x a week.
Almost always leftovers. There are some snacks in the break room (single-serve bags of chip and chip-type things that are a little healthier like Pop Chips) that I use to supplement it.
I bring oatmeal with honey, brown sugar and cinnamon. It was great in the beginning but I am so over it now. It helps me stay full for a reasonable amount of calories. I also have a mini babybel cheese, I look forward to this part every day.

I just got one of those salad mason jar things ( i know very cliche) that I layer with bunch of stuff including avocado. I feel like avocado makes every thing taste better.
This used to be a huge problem for me. My solution has been to bring healthy food that I can snack on all day which will keep me full which lessens my desire for take away. In my lunch sack today is a hard boiled egg, crackers and cheese, deli turkey, a Luna bar, baby carrots and pea pods, a cut up apple, and some pretzels.
