I ordered curtain rods for DD's room, and I found ones that wrap the curtain around the window to hold the heat in better. I think this is a genius idea and am unreasonably excited to see if it works.
Getting these in the mail on Wednesday. I ordered 4 pair. 2 long and 2 capri. I'm hoping they fit well and are comfortable because I fully intend on wearing them the last 2 months of pregnancy and a good 4+ months after that! Now I just need to find forgiving, flattering and inexpensive tunic tops to wear with them for post-partum.
I rearranged the guest/sewing room to make it more functional. I still need to hang a shelf but it is much more functional now. I super jazzed about it.
Errrr, H coming home after work? Being with a semi-sick toddler all day is hard. Lol
Eta - Also the chocolate cake I made last night. And the chocolate chip muffins I made with G this morning. I may or may not take a bite of one/both each time I walk through the kitchen.
It looks like it will be above freezing every day this week some days as high as 40! This pleases me. I know we still have a lot of winter but the occasional respite makes it easier to bear

It's staying lighter longer at night, and I actually heard birds singing a few mornings ago, so small signs that spring is on the way. I can't wait to be able to run outside again, once the snow melts and the temps stay above 30.

I was hoping that my H would be bringing news that our DC would be completely accessible (an in-home in a neighborhood) and open tomorrow but alas...
But, I could ALMOST get to work on the Metro. I'd just have to have H drop me off at the Orange line going into DC, one station away. They now have the rest of my commute. That's something, right?
Going downstairs after work and enjoying my clean house (house cleaner came today). This will last approximately 10 mins before th girls get up from their nap and I have to cook dinner and it is destroyed again.
The end of depressingly short days. We're through the worst of it already. By the time we leave for mexico, "sunrise"* will be after it's time to leave in the morning.
* okay sometimes it's more like "slightly brighter cloudrise" but I'll take what I can get.

I washed the bucket seat cover and just put it all together again, on the smallest setting and also with the newborn insert. So excited for the new baby.
I ordered a nursing dress from ASOS to wear to my friend's solemn profession and my sister's rehearsal dinner. I wear skirts most of the time so I can pull my top up to nurse, but I miss wearing dresses.
Can it be something that happened a little while ago? I am still excited about my new diaper bag. The jujube BFF. I love love it. Perfect size, shape, functionality, great organization. I keep learning about more little helpful things to keep in it, it gets more and more helpful every time I tweak it. Like DS somehow cut his finger at the grocery store last week (weird!) and we had to fight crowds to get all the way across the store for a Band-Aid. Which I now have in my diaper bag, along with this nifty Neosporin spray. I love being prepared!

Link? I'd love a nice nursing dress to wear to church.
I got on a scale for the first time in months and I didn't weigh as much as I imagined. I am doing ok on my low carb diet so hopefully I won't look like a cow come spring/summer.
