We share a house with family (haters can hate - we're going to pay off student loans as quickly as we can), and I'm incredibly grateful... But it's not mine. And it's cramped.
But we're going to deal for now because we're going to get out from under a mountain of student debt and then we're going to make a massive down payment on a house to keep our mortgage low.

It's my dream home. New construction and we designed a lot of aspects to fit our lives. Aside from future improvements (finish basement, patio from walk-out basement), there isn't anything at all I would change.
My only issue with it right now is that both the office and formal dining room are acting as "playrooms". Ugh, so many toys.
I like mine well enough. Its 950 sqft. Its me, H, our two cats and a dog. We are able to make due nicely with what we have, but I am ready to build a house. I just need to get there financially. And our upstairs neighbors are obnoxiously loud.

I look forward to moving, but that won't be for awhile. We bought this house because it seemed to have the majority of what we were looking for and we didn't have much in the way of options (extremely low inventory and a need to move due to DS's arrival meaning we didn't fit in our apartment anymore). But since moving in its been one thing after another, and now I just resent the house and am generally unhappy with it. There were a number of repairs, major and minor, that had to be made (which we weren't really expecting since it was a new renovation by reputable developers). And the house is NOISY. The developers didn't seem to do anything in the way of soundproofing, so sound travels from one floor to another like crazy, and it seems that maybe they didn't properly secure our vents because any time air blows through them the amount of clanging/clicking/ticking is huge (it goes beyond normal vent noises from expansion/contraction). Plus, our neighbors on one side are incredibly loud and throw lots of really loud parties.
I can't wait to move. We really want to move somewhere warm in the next 5 years but if that doesn't happen, this is not our long term house. The SF is more than enough for the 2 of us but the layout is all wrong. We bought it thinking we would be having kids so we were worried about bedrooms and school district , etc. Now we would rather have a condo or townhouse with a pool, no yard, better layout. On top of that, the previous owner "flipped" the house but it was all smoke and mirrors and is starting to fall apart now.
I feel pretty good about it. We just closed a little more than a month ago. We've done a lot of work and have a lot of work left to go, but I see the potential!

I want it bigger, but the location is ideal, the neighbors are great and we mostly love it. We plan to renovate and turn it from 1.5 stories (cape) to a full 2 stories in a few years and move all the bedrooms upstairs and open more living space downstairs. But I would need to be able to buy a whole different class of house before I would give up where we are (easy walk to town, the train for Hs commute and the kids schools, great neighborhood).

I'm in between I like it and I love it. I wish we had a first floor office and a full bath in the basement. Which is totally ridiculous since we basically live out of the family room, kitchen, master bedroom and bath now. We have more toilets than bottoms in the house . But looking to the future (and we bought the house to grow in to) those extra features will be nice. Oh. And a fireplace.

This is our starter home that will turn into our forever home, due to changes in flood insurance.
We lucked out and got a house with excellent bones, that only needs a lot of cosmetic work -and we bought in 2005 for practically nothing. H has gone into full-reno mode since realizing we'll never sell, so we might as well love it. We've had a ton of projects done recently (kitchen reno, new covered patio, new roof, me front steps, new covered storage area attached to garage) and have more planned for this spring.

we rent, so it's fine but not perfect. I like it enough to have lived here for 4 years though, and plan to stay for at least 3 more. we cannot afford to buy and our rent is low because we haven't had an increase and we got in here as rents started to rise, so we are lucky. it's small, but we have one kid.
Ours is on the market right now, so I chose the Can't Wait to Move option.
However, if we have no offers by the end of February, we will be taking it off the market and making some changes. It's a great house, we just haven't put any money into it in the 6 years we've lived here because we always thought it would be our "starter" home and we would get a bigger place eventually. Once those changes are made, I think I would choose the I Like it Fine option.

I'm feeling pretty meh/can't wait to move which sucks cause we just bought our TH 10 months ago. For a 14 year old TH it sure is falling apart around us quickly. (We learned after we bought that it was built crappily....) If we can stick it out 5 years we'll have a good amount of equity and can hopefully buy a SFH. That's the goal. Luckily my BFF and her H live 10 minutes away in a SFH so we can hang out there when our neighbors play their bass for 12+ hours straight.
Can't wait to move. This is our starter home and we only planned to be here 5 years/1 kid. We're going on 8 years this may and have 2 children.
We have a 3 bedroom/2 bath with a bonus room, but we've outgrown it. My biggest complaint is there is no real storage space. Not even a coat closet in the foyer. It's annoying and I'm WTFing us for not realizing that when we bought.
I'd be happier here if we had a 4th bedroom to use as a play room/guest room combo. (My H uses the bonus room as his office.)
We really can't make a decision on moving until the end of this year when we know if H's project at work is extended or if he has the option to relocate to his hometown.
I like our house. It's our first house and both H and I had very specific wants. I wanted and open floor plan with a lot of natural light, H wanted a big yard. We both wanted a small, cozy house (in Texas, small houses are very hard to find!)
I like our area, but I realized our middle and high school are not very good. Funny because our city is known for great schools, just so happens, I moved right into a zone that sucks. So, we send David to a charter and it's going well. I just wish I had researched it a bit more. We might move in a few years but dang, I love my house!

I love it. I got super lucky and found exactly what I was looking for. After all my House Hunters watching, I started looking with the attitude that I would have to compromise on something. But I somehow managed to hit everything on my list. And then the market changed right after I bought, and it has now doubled in value. I could never afford it if I was looking now. I can't believe how lucky my timing was. There are still some improvements I'll be able to do, but nothing that is unbearable at all.

The only thing I like about my house is the square footage (about 2600ft)......besides that, I can't wait to move. It's an older rambler with no updates and I'm sick of it.
Oh, and we live on almost an acre of land but I'm sick of the maintenance and ready to live in a cute little neighborhood with quiet streets where my kids can ride their bikes. We currently live really set back but on a busy street with a 50mph speed limit. Over it.
I like my house, but having DS has made us realize that it's even smaller than we thought. The plan is to sell it this summer and buy something bigger in the suburbs. Luckily, we bought in a great area, so I think we'll be able to sell for a decent bit more than we bought it for. The plan is to get something that will give us a similar mortgage payment and leave some cash for cosmetic upgrades.
I like my location and love my neighbors. My actual house? I was young and kind of naive when I bought it so there's a lot that I'm not a fan of now. There's no way I could buy now in my 'hood, so I dream about building a new house on my lot.

There are things I love... The size, layout, it's the nicest place we could afford, I have a vision to upgrade things slowly, there's no house right behind ours, decent neighborhood with people out walking and kids out playing etc, and the location is convenient.
But I despise the hillbillies living next door to us (6 people renting rooms in 1 house!) and the street in front of our house is too busy. I don't like that the area isn't walkable in terms of walking to a coffee shop or restaurants. Sometimes I really want to move.

I'm honestly just happy that we own a house in London. It's not my final dream home or anything but it's perfectly fine. I'm quite certain we'll never be able to afford my dream house in London (as it would cost about 5x what our house is worth in the location I'd want)

I picked it's killing me slowly but only because we're mid renovation and my h got back from vacation Thursday night and it looks like a bomb exploded in every. single. room. It's our first house reno, there's been a LOT of trial and error and things done out of order because of mind changes, etc; plus with the exception of some plumbing and electrical work, we've done everything ourselves. With that said though, we are in the home stretch now, and I'm starting to see that it's going to look like what I had hoped. So with any luck, I'll love it soon.
I like the inside a lot as well as location but hate my noisy neighbors and wish it had a yard or some sort of outdoor space to garden ...but it's the city. Oh, and a garage. I want a garage so, so bad. If I could add a garage, storage and outdoor space and take away the neighbors, it would be my dream place.
