Since I basically planned my whole trip through MMM, I figured I’d give a quick Disney trip recap, especially since I was so pregnant and having to deal with a 2.5 year old. Sorry this is so long!
The lowdown:
We stayed at Pop Century, which honestly was perfectly fine for us. We were rarely there. We ate breakfast at the cafeteria twice and dinner once and it was cafeteria food but relatively good. We didn’t do the dining plan this time and have been calculating whether we would do it the next time. Every meal apart from the character meals was ~$30-40. The transportation to and from PopCentury was never a problem except for the last night when after a VERY LONG day I had to stand up the whole 20 minute drive back holding onto DS.
Day 1: Epcot. It was raining off and on. We had FP+ for the Character spot and Nemo but didn’t need either. We were the only people riding Figment at the time! DS absolutely died over the characters. It was the best. We made a mistake though and instead of getting some food around the world, we ate at burger/salad joint by the character spot. I did get an American Dream slushie that was my favorite drink of the whole trip. Due to the rain, we skipped Illuminations although we heard you could get prime spots easily.
Day 2: Magic Kingdom. It rained continuously, boo. When it was just misting, we were able to ride almost every ride in Fantasyland without a FP. However, when DS and DH went on the Tomorrowland Speedway, it started downpouring and they got stuck in it. We spent the rest of the afternoon just trying to duck in places-so we saw more characters and just sat inside a restaurant for awhile. In the late afternoon we walked over to Adventureland and did Pirates, but gave up for the day when we realized the rain wasn’t moving. Skipped the parades and night shows. DS didn’t fall asleep until we left the park around 5:30.
Day 3: Animal Kingdom. Hot and sunny! We got there at rope drop. DS would NOT stop talking about Chip and Dale but they were way in the back, so we distracted him with meeting Flik. We then had reservations at Tusker House and we loved the food and the character interaction. DH and I both ate a ton and DS ate…almost nothing. He was too excited. We messed up with our planning though and did way too much walking this day. We walked from Africa to Dinoland, back to Africa for Lion King, back to Asia for DH to ride Everest, back to Africa for FP on Safari, then back to Dinoland. DS fell asleep during Lion King and slept about 45 minutes. Once again, obsessed with meeting characters. We saw Chip and Dale and Goofy and Pluto. We actually made it to park close, too, when DS finally wanted to eat. We had no options on the way out of the park except for a cookie the size of his head. Go for it, kid.
Day 4: Hollywood Studios. We got there at rope drop again so we could run back to do Toy Story. Everyone had the same idea. It was a madhouse of people running. We got back there at 8:50 and the line was supposedly already 30 minutes! We had a FP+ starting at 9:20 so we just went and met Buzz and Woody (which made my son’s LIFE) and then used our FP+. The ride was a little advanced for DS anyways. We had 11 am reservations at Hollywood and Vine. We really didn’t like it. The food was barely mediocre and the characters were kind of blah. DS liked Sophia and Doc but hated Handy Manny and Jake. It was way too expensive for what we ate. After that, we tried to get DS to nap but he refused so we took him to the movie stunts show- us adults enjoyed that a lot! DS played games on my phone during that time and finally fell asleep after the show. We rested until he got up and then went to the Disney Jr Live show. He thought that was AWESOME, but I thought it was really lame with the fake little characters and the fact we had TO SIT ON THE FLOOR. Ouch. We walked around a bit and then went for our FP+ for Fantasmic. DS also loved this show and wouldn’t stop talking about Mickey saving us from the witch, lol. However, long day for me. We were at DHS open to close. Oof.
Day 5: Magic Kingdom. Rope drop, got to see the opening show which made my DH cry seeing DS’s reaction to Mickey pulling up on the train. LOL. We rushed to Tomorrowland and DH and DS did the Speedway twice. Then we FP+ Dumbo and then Enchanted Tales with Belle. Belle was NOT worth it for us. I don’t even get the appeal for little girls, it was so boring! We rode Mermaid with no wait. I cancelled a BOG lunch reservation because we weren’t in the mood to sit through a long lunch. So we headed to Casey’s Corner to watch the Move it Shake it Party. DS would have really liked it but was too hungry so we missed the dance party portion but it looked so fun!! We went to Frontierland to try to get DS to nap and we ended up fighting him for 2 hours to nap, it was awful. I was so tired and uncomfortable but we just kept walking to see if he would fall asleep. No. So we went back to Fantasyland for a Winnie the Pooh FP (DS’s favorite ride). We then went back to Frontierland to watch the FOF parade. DS really liked that but was so tired, and I hated standing the whole time. We went to our A&E FP+ and then we took him to Pirates afterwards and he finaly fell asleep in line. Everything was a 50 minute + wait except for the lame things so we sat on a bench for 2 hours while DS slept. He got up at 6ish and we had dinner at a taco place. Tried to find rides with no lines and ended up on teacups and the Speedway again, then booked it back to Frontierland for the MSEP. Once again, standing was really really rough on me but we thought the parade was cool (but soooo slow!) We decided we could skip Wishes because I was so tired, but there was a Celebrate the Magic castle show going on as we tried to leave and it was SO cool we ended up staying through that and Wishes. I thought Wishes was really boring compared to Fantasmic? We finally boarded our bus home at around 10. A 13.5 hour day.
The good: DS LOVED everything. He couldn’t stop talking about characters and rides. I felt 2.5 was a perfect age because we got to experience everything through his little eyes and he just got so excited. Our favorite meal was Tusker House and our favorite park was probably AK. We just really liked the atmosphere there.
The bad: I am not quite a Disney addict yet. It seems like they purposely make everybody overstimulated, overtired, and over sugared. Of course, that could be our fault since we never went back to our room to rest (didn’t seem worth it on a short trip!). Standing in lines all day long is rough!
The ugly: Dealing with a 2.5 year old who won’t nap was really hard on the last day. We were all losing our patience. The really ugly, though? My pregnant self got the worst hemorrhoids of my entire life and I spent a good chunk of time crying over the pain of them. Flying home with that was AWFUL. I haven’t been able to sit or walk right since we go home. Ugh!
TLDR: Disney with a 2.5 year old was 80% super fun, 15% patience testing and 5% miserable.

I give you major credit for doing this trip so far along in your pregnancy. I was 26 weeks when we went and I spent a lot of time sitting on benches and eating ice cream while everyone else rode rides.
You are a trooper! I couldn't survive a 13+ hour day non-pregnant much less super pregnant. When we did Disney I am Team Lazy and usually are at the parks like 10-7. I love Tusker House too.
This makes me want to go to Disney again. We are tentatively planning February 2018. I loved Tusker house too.
I give you credit doing those long days pregnant! We went back to the room in the afternoons so the girls could nap and I spent most of that time hanging out at the pool.
We did Disney when I was 6 months pregnant and DS1 was 2.5. I remember how EXHAUSTED I was and how much DS1 loved everything. Sounds like your trip was similar and a lot of fun.
